I am getting there, I still have to polish the chrome trim, bumpers etc.. Armor All the tires and I have to put the GTO rocker trim on the doors.
Here are some updated photos, it started to get dark quickly, couldn't finish everything. I will try to get it all done tomorrow. The last photo is when I first got the car, before I put the GTO parts on it.

Thanks so much guys,
I put the GTO rocker trim on the doors today. That trim makes it really look tough. I will post some more photos tomorrow when I can take them in the daylight.

Ant,
I read that you used PPG paint, was it a BC/CC or something else? I have been debating painting my 68, it has a BC/CC (prior to me purchasing it) on it and the clear is beginning to check real bad on the doors and rear qtr panels. Like you many of the quotes I have received have been over 8k. I guess like others have said here, how bad can you mess up? |

No problem Tim,
Hey like you said, how bad can you mess it up. Just have some fun and go to it. I am sure it will turn out great.

WOW, that's one nice looking paint job! Congrats!
That car could be my car's sister... I have a Mariner Blue '67 Lemans that I need to start the paint/body work on. Thanks for the inspiration. BTW, do you still have the original Lemans grilles??? If so, do you want to sell them? Mike

Thanks so much,
I do still have them and they are in great shape but a few of the tabs are broken off, but nothing that can be seen while in place and I do have them. They just need to be put back on with some plastic epoxy.
