Default Finally found VIN to my first car.....

68 GTO sold in 94 to a kid in FT Lauderdale. He sold it 6 months later to a guy in W. Palm beach.

A few datails- it was red (lacquer), black vinyl top, black interior. 400 (ye 340hp block with 62 or 16 heads), 4 speed, A/C, soft ray glass, hideaway car, chevelle open 12 bolt with 3.36's. Had (at the time from GM ) new front fenders.

VIN....242378G110044

Curious if it still around?
John

If you know a police man, see if he will run it through the system. If it's still alive, you might find out where it is. I don't want to know where my first car is......It was a POS! David

You might check with the Florida DMV. They may still have a record of it. Good Luck!

If you have a buddy who is a lawyer have him do the paperwork. I know here in NY if there is some possibility that the car would be connected to any kind of legal proceeding they will divluge all sorts of personal informantion about the vehicle's owner.

Default Not worth it...

Ah...not worth it.
We want to see how our old car is doing, but not bad enough to see somebody get in trouble or have headaches.

I am sure that some of these owners have enough of a heart, and if they see our pleas, will eventually come forward, and give us news of the car we loved so much!

you could go to www.ustrace.com, pay a small ($45ish) fee and they will divulge the last registered owner for you. Not invasive, not troubling, just gives you the info you need to introduce who you are.

If you know of a auto insurance ajuster they might be able to track it for you, I know that an old friend of mine in Ohio works for Progressive and he said he has access to all kinds of stuff like that
