Default colored honeycomb rims

I saw a trans am on e-bay with red honeycomb rims. It looks sharp with the white body and red interior. Were they optional? I've never seen any others. If not, where would I get some? Could they be painted?
It's a white 79 t/a on e-bay. I couldn't figure how to attach the link.

Honeycomb wheels were only available on 71-76 Firebirds/Trans ams
They were a steel wheel with a rubber (urethane) insert in the face.
Snowflakes became the optional Firebird & Trans am wheel in 1977 (like on Bandit T/A's)

They were available in various colors from Pontiac & are commonly repainted to match body color

The "stock" colour of the snowflake wheel inserts was silver / gray: matching the inserts to body colour was an option, unless of course one bought either the "Blue Bird", "Red Bird", or "Yellow Bird" package, in which case(s) it was "automatic".
