just wondering, what is the rear gear for the straight sixes...?

and is it a posi?

You can race with anything you want. The real question is how long will it last.

+1 on race what anything you want. Behind a six it will last forever. If it is an 8.5" corporate rearend (it should be) they can be made to support a lot of horsepower without failure much cheaper than buying a 12 bolt or 9".

^ ^ ^ What he said. My '73 Omega came w/ a 3.08 open rear-end, from the factory; 250, automatic, 2-door post coupe.
