I am looking for a decent machine shop im maryland, preferably annapolis area, that knows pontiacs. Its a 350 that i want zero decked have new rings installed and new cam bearings put in. I also would like to not have to wait for ages if possible. Thanks ahead.

If you have to stay close, try Burtonsville Performance Machine Services; 5210 Minnick Rd, Laurel, MD, 20707 (301-490-3131). I used them for my machine work based on a recommendation from Brian Baker on this board. I haven't finished assembling the engine yet, but they were very professional.

If I had to do it again, I would have gone with CVMS. I bought a set of pistons from Jim and he is outstanding to deal with. He has entertained my rookie questions on the phone countless times with the great patience. As it turns out, I think it wouldn't have cost me much more if I had him do the machine work and assembly--and it would have been done by now, FWIW. Take a look at his website:

I have to chime in and "second" the Jim Lehart recommendation. It's a little bit further than you're looking... but I travel the distance as he is exceptionally well respected, knowledgeable and a really great guy to work with.

Burtonsville is safe, RC Automotive in capitol heights is real good, and cvms is very good with Pontiac-specific stuff. You can go out 301, but you would spend a day going back and forth.
