^^ Excellent advice above.
My first car went to a scrap yard & was crushed. I'll never get to drive it again ![]() It was a '76 Grand Prix SJ with 400/TH400, Bucket seats, etc. It started a long line of GP's (5 total), and Pontiacs. I someday will own another '76 GP.

My plans with the car are to drive it to high school and on thursdays take it up to Bradenton Not going to be as fast as my dads [goldbird] car but if i want to go fast then i will race his might run like a 14.00 or a 13.00 try to get it there with the 350 if not i have a 400 or another 350

Wyatt - just got back from Bradenton drag strip - hope to see you there sometime.
That is good news about your interior - sounds to me like you have a real winner on your hands - congrats. Hey, are you Jesse's son ? Jim

Wyatt - say hi to your old man for me. Hope to see you and Jesse at the track soon.
Didn't do as well as expected last night with our best pass being an 11.78. 60 foot time was right there [1.61] and 1/8 mile time was good at 7.44 but the big Cat didn't seem to be going soft on the top end, mph was off by about 3. May have had the carb too rich so I jetted it down tonight for the next trip out. Not many cars showing up for the Thursday TNT recently. You can make a bunch of passes if you want. Good luck with your Poncho, Jim

Very cool, I still have my first car setting down in the basement garage....owned it since 87 and will never let it go. Very true statement about once you own a Pontiac you will own them forever.

Those floor plans look pretty good from the pix and if that is the worst of the trunk floor then you'll get it done.
Jesse - Mike Chell did get some new tires and may try to make Runday Sunday to test them out. Steve's Goat is running very strong, broke into the high 11s. Just needs a little more carb. Going to try to make it to TNT at Bradenton this coming week. Jim

I was learnin the hard way. Some of us are thick headed and 20-25 years ago it was just an old car that wasnt ever going to be worth anything.
