Hello.

I' am introducing my '66 Le Mans Post Coupe. Original paint is burgundy. As you can see, this car is red and have an '67 front. I will rebuild it nearly original. The Le Mans runs in California. I don' t know how long. Since October '07, it is in Switzerland.
Since January, i' m working on it and it' s a lot of work to do. There is some rust on the rear quarter panel, on th rear Window panel, on the trunk and on the lower windshield panel.
Last week i made the frame off. I will write again, when the body and the paintjob will be done.

Sometimes I use 'em for that purpose, but usually I just run a wire from 'em to my stereo and crank up a little Rush.

I know - just messing with ya!

It's funny, I've been a music lover all my life, playing guitar for 31 years, but when I drive my cars I don't seem to mind the lack of tunes!

That is a nice ride ya got - love that Linden green!

If a black roof would match my car, Id put one on in a second.

Just got a 66 LeMans Sprint 6. First Pontiac I've ever owned, so this should be fun. The car is in great shape with only surface rust being found.

EDIT - a sprint with A/C & a manual trans - really nice find. 3 or 4speed?

I got it from my Father-in-Law after about 5 years of negotiations. He let me have it for $500.00 if I would get it out of the garage it's been sitting in since about 1977. I've been drooling over this car since the first time I saw it.

And you are correct, factory A/C and a 4 Speed with the Hurst shifter.

NICE...very nice! Congrats! Love the rear end of the 66 LeMans...those curved tailights, that chrome strip that runs along the trunklid...sweet!

Nice colour - what about the interior, is it blue as well?

Ive been going back and fourth about changing mine to GTO taillights for years. I cant decide becuase I feel the same way. The back end of that car is too cool to mess with.

Yours has a hood scoop, right?

Either way, I wouldn't mess with that back end...love those curved lights. The 66 GTO taillights are way cool also...but I'm loving the LeMans!

Here is my 67 Lemans.
Bought it 5 years ago from Original owner with 64000 miles. Grew up 1 mile down the road from this car.
Only changed rims and tires. Now has 72000 miles on it.
326 cid, 2 speed tranny, Tyrol Blue.
She is my true love and my 73 is my bad boy.

Right.....

I got lucky with this one, and don't plan on letting it slip away too easy..

And I will be coming back often for help and tips.

I do have a perfect GTO hood in the garage waiting to go on the car. Its even got the hole for the hood tach. But in answer to your question Paul, its just got the LeMans hood right now. Ive been holding off becuase once I get the hood off, I KNOW there are things that Im gonna want to change.

I've got a while until mine is ready for paint, and I'm torn between leaving the original hood (and saving $500) or popping for a GTO hood - love that hood scoop.

Mine's a sleeper w/a 455 so I'm thinking the stock hood will add to that appearance...but I LOVE THE HOOD SCOOP!!!
