Is that 72 Springfield Green? My 72 F400 came that color and I am trying to decide put it back or my real desire, cameo white, but that shot of yours looks good....

Bird72,..yes, that's the original Springfield Green. Certainly was popular in '72, lots of GM products painted that shade. But today, most enthusiasts hate light Greens. But it's OK with me. At shows, sure beats looking just like all the Red and Black cars there. Don't get me wrong, I love Red and Black too, but after awhile, I get tired of seeing the same colors over & over again.
Telly,....you're right! I have one repro & two originals (both need repairs). No excuses, just so many cars & so little time.

Here are a couple of really crappy pics of my Formula from "back in the day" when it was all original. Well, except for the cheesy driving lamps in the grill, but hey, those were considered cool back then! Actually, I'd asked for a set of fog lamps for it (the high output halogen kind that actually worked in fog) and got the cheesy low powered "driving lamps" for my birthday instead.

looks superb, LOVE the classic luxurious sportscar look,
bumperguards look great on it, too...

only those foglights, indeed......ahwell, better then putting giant race spoiler on the back, like the young guys all do now....

wheels look nice too, and I usually don't enjoy standard wheels with hubcaps (on a bird)

got pics of how it looks now?

Agreed, please post more pics of that one. Is it an original RA III car? 3.73 rear with M21 trans?

Thanks for the comments! I never liked the bumper guards though, so will be leaving them off and will definitely not reinstall those driving lights.

It really doesn't look like much now. I redid the frame, suspension, underside, trunk, floorpans, and rebuilt the entire drivetrain but never had the money to get it painted. So, while mechanically (other than engine, a loooonggg story) it's like brand-new, it looks like crap from the outside. Currently no trim or weatherstripping on it and no interior. It sits in a storage shelter waiting another couple of years for certain financial goals to be met before I can justify the expenditure to paint it.

Here it is up on some home-made sawhorses getting the underside pressure washed:

Here's a couple pics of it from right after getting it running with a new engine back in about '00.
