That might be right, lol. Past tense.
Really though, Steve has never mentioned being previous owner of an IV Judge. But he has posted about that old Elroy IV before. Is he hiding his past from us ? Who is this person we call Steve ? my my my, the web we weave... lol |

That ratty old 68 he talks about all the time? The way he talks about that car you would think it had long legs, blond hair and worked at Houlihan's.

we are friends, that is why i am ripping him.
chris, as for the 68 gto that he wants, it is a turd with a really nice 12 bolt posi that was put under it. he wants to build a drag car out of it, but since he is a friend, i cant let him do it. it would either tear into pieces going down the strip or he would rip his legs off when they fell thru the partial floor boards. ps- he knows he screwed up letting this guy know about the car. the car got taken completely apart and i mean completely apart. the guy trashed the original frame. supposedly the numbers left the body also (but that is hear say). from what i hear it will never be a car again. |

That frame isn't trashed, it's still sitting up against Bill's fence with posion ivy all over it. I checked last time I was down there; but that has been a few months.
That 68 would be the bomb going down the track; and it ain't going to rip nobodys leg off, but I will admit a few parts will come off on the first passes. haha I would never in my wildest dreams imagined Eddie would make some deal with Elroy; but look at it this way, I saved you the mess of another shell. BVZ That silver car is straight up no bull and just a few feet from it was a 65 or 66 2+2 428 HO Tripower 4SP car, complete and not wrecked as well. I didn't buy the motor for $40 because I didn't know how I would get it home; no bull either, this was back before we all had easy access to trucks. |

A quick story. In 69 my cousin, now in his late '60's,traded his yellow 68 GTO in on a new Judge.Yes RAIV and 4 speed. He says it was the one of the worst running cars he ever drove,he still claims that.My Dad always beat it with his stock 66 tripower GTO.After having it about 3 months, one night the Judge was stolen from a bar parking lot.It was never recovered.Supposedly it was 'stolen'for a price and was pushed into the local river. My cousin just smiles when asked if that's where it went.

Yeah I'm a dummy; I knew it was a 421 and wasn't thinking clearly.
Wasn't it a rag top? And didn't Mitch buy the tripower off it seperate? The engine just blew me away; I had no clue what the long header like manifolds were for, what an idiot I was for not buying that. And why of all the pictures I took out there I never got that one, I have no clue. |

![]() Tell your uncle that car would pay for his retirement now. Maybe he 'might' know where it is?

Another grand screw up was the IV orange 69 Judge in Paris Texas that I didn't buy for nothing. A guy wrecked it with minor damage on the one of the loop exits; it sat in that junkyard on N Main for at least 5 years, all it had was minor left lower rear qtr damage.
Here is a post I made on this car back in 2004 on this thread: http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...ht=judge+paris Quote:

There used to be a heapin load of GTO's in this one on the west side; Mitch and myself spent an amount of time at these two.

Interesting story while looking for wrecked Judges, I think you'll like it even though it's not a Judge.

It's hard to believe that anyone lived from that accident.

I tell you that my memory is dang near that it was bare intake or no intake; I am fairly certain it it would have been a full tripower I would have blown a slurpee on the spot and porbably passed out dead before leaving without it.
I think you were the one that told me he got the tripower and lid/spoiler the same day, and mabye the 4sp as well? |
