Does anyone sell a kit or bearings to do this? Does anyone have a link that shows an exploded view? My turn signal lever came totally out and while I have it apart I would like to rebuild it. Thanks for any/all help! -Jim

Jim,
If your column is the one with the dimmer switch in it the lever is just a snap in type. I have a 78 Pontiac service manual I can try to take a picture and email it to you if you like! |

Just an update. I never could find any internal parts for the upper, I had several broken internal plasic parts, missing spring, as well as a broken die cast pivot deal that the signal lever snaps into. I also discovered that 78 is a slightly different colume than the 79 and up. The 78 has a different spline/groove arrangement where the lower shaft attaches to the upper(near the firewall). I was able to find an entire used 78 colume from an El Camino, it fits perfectly and all is well. Thanks -Jim
