Anyone interested might want to try a product called Peel n' Seal. It's designed for the roofs of mobile homes and the like. It is foil backed adhesive tar product just like dynamat, except it is $85 for a roll that is 36"x 35 feet. This product is amazing, it does everything that acoustic mats do, but cheaper. Check it out!!!

How is it in an enclosed area... Does it stink? Some of the low end products stink and I'd suspect something made form mobile home roofs might stink if installed in an enclosed area like a car.

I don't think it's made "from" mobile home roofs,it's made "for" mobile home roofs.Chances are it probably doesn't stink.

LMAO I never thought it was made from mobile home roofs LOL again... It was a typo, I actually typed "FORM" on accident instead of "FOR"...oops my bad. Guess that's what I get for not re-reading my posts I type in the dark. ;-)
Why would they make a roof product not stink? It very well might not, I just thought it would be a very valid question/concern. |

Dynamat Extreme is one of the best but there is better products out there. I bought one of those bulk boxes of Dynamat Extreme that had one sheet of it used off of Ebay and I got it for $50 bucks, so you just have to watch for deals.
Here is the link for the sound deadner comparison. It's a great read if you're interested in doing this to your car. http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/ |

The product has no discernable odor actually. We have used it in quite a few restos now, and a friend of ours who owns a resto shop uses it exclusively. It seems to be the same material as Dynamat, looks and feels identical, maybe a bit thinner, but the price cant be beat!
