Brian: Did you mean these? M/T's Tempest 4 and Tempest 2? Check them out here (scroll down the page) http://www.tachrev.com/NHRA_Museumpg4.htm

My wife and I enjoyed Pomona and the street meet.

Pretty cool - no ( LS6's - 427's - 454's ) stock engines - Pontiac prevailed .

Got an ad from Dec. 1970, but never seen a picture - Jim Jokerst ran a couple firebird Funny cars before going to a Camaro body. Anyone got a picture or knows what became of it?

The second is off another site. Has Knafel’s car in the background on the left.

Thought the third was just kind of cool and also from the same 12/70 paper. How about $1K off a new left over 69 Daytona? Guess they didn't sell.

Hey Rob- what's that second picture all about?
re: Eddie Hill- I wonder what a tech guy would say today about engines used as frame members?!

Yup...that's it!

Dig the crank driven mechanical tach drive on the 4!

Who's car is that? Makes me think of the Dick Jesse car, although, I'm rather sure it's not. Big rubber for the day. Interesting how it's supported. It looks like the drivers rocker is on the workbench and a chainfall is holding the rear window jamb on the passenger side!

Possible, but not likely. Dick's car was originally white (as received from the factory).

Does it look like the wheelbase has been altered already in your pic? I can't really tell.
