Good, that's what I told 'em. I found the '73 S.D. at no. 15 of Top 50 fastest Muscle Cars list at 13,56. The horses I believe are around 400.

I've seen the 73 SD listed as #8 and #13 in Top 20 all-time musclecar ranks.
I guess it depends on who does the list.
I rank them as #1 personally.

Monday we loaded up my 73 SD on the transporter in NC. The driver was right on time.

I've always been overly protective of this car, and wanted to follow transporter all the way to Miami, lol. But he had a lot of pickups and deliveries to make along the way.

I've heard the horror stories like Muscle_Collector mentioned, from others before.
I was apprehensive just to put it mildly.

I left out Tuesday morning heading to Miami. Coincidentally - I miracously ran into the transport driver about 9 or 10 pm while waiting in line to pay for fuel at a Flying J truck stop in Florida at exit 131 on I-95 just before getting onto the Florida Turnpike. He was in the next line down waiting to pay for his fuel also. We both kind of flipped out on that coincidence.

The driver and I chatted for an hour or so after I said hello to my Car. He was finished for the day and was camping at Flying J for the night. I went on down to Miami that night and slept in front of the Trans Am Specialities facility where the car was to be delivered at 8:30 am Wednesday morning.

Driver arrived at 8:30 am sharp.
We unloaded YOUSSEF's 73 SD, unloaded all the parts I carried down, signed some papers, and loaded buckets full of money back into my Grand Chkee. Glad I had plenty of room for all of it and none blew out the windows on the way home.

Wasted too much time in Daytona Beach on the way home Tuesday afternoon. I could have made it home Tuesday night if I had hustled strait back. They have a new mega-gigantic Harley Davidson complex there that I hadn't visited yet. I tried to bend a salesman over a barrel on a new bike for 15g cashola. He tried his damndest - but sales manager just wouldn't let it happen. Poor guy wanted that sale too. I was standing on 15 and not a penny more. Broke his heart when I left, lol.

Had to sleep in Grand Chkee again Wednesday night, somewhere in mid-SC.
Got home about noon Thursday - slept about all afternoon until a while ago.
Going back to bed soon too. We young guys have to have our beauty rest you know.

Youssef is a great guy all the way around. It was a pleasure to meet such an upstanding forthright fellow Pontiac enthusiast. I hope you guys will help him with anything he needs advice on in the future. He isn't a flipper or bandwagon jumper.
He's into it just like we are, for the love of the cars that stole our hearts.

The guys at Trans Am Specialities in Miami Florida were genuine and very courteous in all aspects also. Great group of guys.

As for the transporter, i couldn't have asked for any better.
Russel at Sterry Street Transporters of RI/MA did a perfect job from start to finish.

The whole crusade was a success and went through without any difficulties.
Can't say it doesn't hurt to be without a car that I loved too much for so many years, but the smoothness of this deal really helped make a smooth transition.

I'm very happy for Youssef and my former SD.
He is the perfect 3rd owner for this car.
I have no doubt about that whatsoever.

Good story, and I can appreciate the bond you have with that sd car for they do become apart of ones life in away.
Glad to hear things worked out for both parties, and the transaction went well for all.
It's cool to be part of these sales hundreds of miles away and thanks for sharing the experience on both sides.
I hope one day where all at the same party, to meet, toast, and tell some killer stories. Now that would be a WHITE COOLER moment!
