Well guys, I finally got al the carburetion and ignition bugs worked out on my SD, and IT RIPS!
I love the car, and I'm taking it to it's first cruise-in / show next Saturday morning. Need advice on repairing the inner buckles on my front safety belts though. Any parts out there? The buttons, etc. are gone! I feel NAKED (not a pretty picture, BTW) driving without a safety belt around me. Never mind the fact that I'll be asking to get a ticket!

Chris - it doesn't just spin the tires now - it obliterates them!

They didn't have the correct plastic female recepticles but have the GM metal ones,I kept the busted ones with the springs in case someone wants to repro them for a 73,but the 74 are the metal ones right?

BVZ, I think I shed a tear with your story, sad to see it go, but glad it's gone to a good home.

So - you're saying that you were able to purchase metal buckles that fit your existing outer harness from the Snake Oyl guys?

My good friend gto4door came by at lunch yesterday to see my new toy and shot a couple of pics.
Here's one with my f-ugly mug. Sh!t eating grin due to just coming back from a tire spinning, fishtailing test drive, LOL!

It would be a nice road trip.
The whole patriotic idea of SD's w/ same interior color is neat though. Here are pictures of the 74 buckles for the rear. Normal and exploded views ![]() ![]() ![]() I have a pair of black none exploded ones I'm willing trade for the one I need.

Just got off of the phone with Snake Oyl - they don't have anything. I'll keep searching e-bay.
Checked my existing exploded buckles - manufactured by Robbins.
