Anything Hotter than the AC R45S????
My car is running a bit rich with the AC R45's, is there anything that runs a bit hotter that anyone else has had success with??

If you are having a fouling problem why not try some of the newer style plugs like the platinum or double platinum? With the smaller wire the tips are much better at self cleaning and less prone to fouling. I rans some AC R46's once a long time ago and ended up having problems.

If the engine is rich, you need to tune the carb, not the plugs. |

Interesting, so if I have the timing, fuel mixture, jets, etc. all right where I want them and the plugs are still just a bit on the dark side, what good are all of the different plugs that are on the market???????

If the fuel mixture is right--the engine isn't rich. Changing heat range may change the amount of deposit on the plug, but it's not changing the fuel/air ratio.

I actually screwed up and was running the R43S instead of the R45S. Changed out the 43's for the 45's and problem solved. Exh. is leaner, spark better, and all other factors unchanged. Who would have thought!

it's all love
you know unlike most guys, you drive your cars and i was most fortunate to be able to experience the brutal love of that Superduty powerplant. Remember, nothing pulls like it..
But did you have to dog the Focus? Last time I looked, weren't you rockin a Focus too? Anyways, your are right about one thing, I find all the neat toys. So, do you think this HO Formy would look right with a vinyl top or maybe a luggage rack on the trunk? |
