Yes -- they were . Then GM imposed the 63 Racing Ban shutting down Pontiacs SUPER DUTY Racing Program -- just more Politics . It would be Awesome to still see Real Pontiacs

By the way, I don't have a date on the Plum Crazy pic. I think it was mid early 70's. I want to say the white SD is the same car in 1969, but don't remember for sure. I have a feeling someone here more... ummm... seasoned might know more about it.

here's a couple more, never saw a pic of the "Mr Unswitchable" 65 in red before! the 66 "Blue Bandit" car is the Don Gay 66 later in it's career. note the front end been stretched. car was last ran out of Illinois.
