Roanoke, VA. Here is a link to a bunch more pictures, I didn't see any more Pontiacs, but a lot of neat older stuff.

Yes -- they were . Then GM imposed the 63 Racing Ban shutting down Pontiacs SUPER DUTY Racing Program -- just more Politics . It would be Awesome to still see Real Pontiacs
kicking Butt in Nascar etc. .

I haven't been following this thread much, but I doubt these are dupes. These came from the late Dave Johnson.

By the way, I don't have a date on the Plum Crazy pic. I think it was mid early 70's. I want to say the white SD is the same car in 1969, but don't remember for sure. I have a feeling someone here more... ummm... seasoned might know more about it.

Here's a couple more dated May 1967. Notice the driver's side rear of my dad's 1966 GTO.

couple more of Don/Roy Gay's 65, and a garage pic from a few years back of a local friends stash of famous drag cars, several of these cars have been sold since then, but he's still got a few historic cars left.

Me neither! Good find -

Looks like maybe he was transitioning to "Stan Long" colors.
