"Panama" By Van Halen
As a runner up from the same album: My son always said the beginning drum solo to "Hot for Teacher" sounds like Dad's car!

"Green onions" By Booke T and the MG's for a classic. The scene at the end of American Graffiti combined with the soundtrack is by far the best "car" scenes ever.

Surprised no one ever mentions this song on this site since it's one of the few that actually has the name Pontiac in the lyrics.
Most probably think it's an Eric Clapton song but orignally done by C&W singer Don Williams.

Your son is right - I've heard that same comment from some of the locals.

ANYTHING Van Halen is good car music - especially in a TransAm !!!!!
