I always hated SAAB cars because they looked like turdmobiles. I had one back into me and another throw up a rock and crack my windshield. SAAB drivers have always seemed to be pompous asses, IMO. I hate to see anyone lose a job, but then again, it'll only be about 7 guys,

A Saab is one who overindulges at the dinner table. "After eating 11 burgers, Tommy was called a pig and a Saab!"

When I was going thru school I pumped gas/swung a wrench at a true old-time gas station in the 80's. This was in an upscale area of Nordic wannabee douches. I didn't like Volvo' and hated Saabs; they were different just to be different - not better. Electrical systems were true Charlie Foxes.

Just a sign of the times I guess. I can't say I'll miss them.
I think it was them, who where working on the split block/variable compression engine; I liked that Idea. In the later years the engineering got more normal. But thos 900s I think; I used to open the hoods on the at the salvage yards for a good laugh. They had the bell-housing right behind the grill.

I liked them but VERY overpriced.....resale killed them as well because huge incentives were put on them to move them.

It isn't necessarily over yet - Spyker has made another offer for Saab, but that doesn't mean GM will agree to it. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20091220...20091220152836

I can't even remember the last time I saw a Saab.
I always thought those two stroke oil burners were kind of cool. They had to be horrible on fuel though?

Anything GM Managent was involved with recently turned to Crap, Pontiac and SAAB are perfect examples.
