Can anybody tell me what this is or what these are, there are two of them, and where do they fit?

Before coming across these, I read somewhere on a previous post that they were rebound stops for the sub frame lower A arm snubber. Which means absolutely NOTHING to me!!!! For a start, I don't even know what a snubber is!

I have looked in all my manuals and on the illustrations for the fron suspension, I cannot see them anywhere. So, can some one please enlighten me in very simple terms, or with a photograph or illustration?

that's a '67 only type bump stop that had a removable snubber. it's for the lower control arm bump stop to contact the frame during full suspension compression. notice how the bump stop lines up with the snubber? in '68, the bump stop was moved to the rear of the lower control arm and the snubber was welded to the frame. in '69, the bump stop was still on the lower control arm, but moved to the front, along with the snubber on the frame.

Thanks for the picture been & had a look at the car and yes theres a place for it a mounting bracket with a hole in it thats all now is this whats called a snubber as Im getting confused between bump stops & snubbers? With regards to the wheels I think youve gotten hold of the wrong end of the stick.I checked out that link on the fisrst gen site BEFORE I did the post as none of my stampings corresponded to what they had logged & what I was saying was that G M must have had a more technical way of telling what would fit what other than the stampiings.Yes the other guy did send me the same link but thats not what answered my question it was when he said ALL WHEELS WILL FIT DRUMS & I have drum brakes. So if you took offence to my post none ment as I need all the help I can get

After reading your post several times I now understand what your saying that the two little components I have are called snubbers (correct ?) Dave

Not sure if it's off my '67 Firebird convertible, or my '59 Chevy Impala 2 door hardtop.

Sent items for both cars to powder coating and they came back all mixed up!! I have been able to identify everything else except this!

I found these in the box along with my seat track and other items for bucket seats. Not sure what they are, but looking at various catalogues, they look like seat track extenders. But, what makes me doubtful is that this car was imported into the UK in 1982, and then spent some time in Spain before coming back to the UK.

I have owned it since '95, and I certainly haven't bought any seat track extenders, which I believe are a fairly recent adition to the parts catalogue. So, I would appreciate assistance.

Yes they are seat extenders. some 67's had them originaly.

Dave, those bolt to the floor, then the seats bolt to them, they were in the car i;m doing. As far as those little pieces, i dont remember seeing those anywhere, however, i wasnt the only one disassembling the car. Here is a little magic for ya.

Hey notime Ive only got two of the seat extenders so I guess they are both for the drivers side only (correct?).With regard to the other thumbnail pics its only one item taken from different angles.Not with the majic bit just looks like youve got the body on a rotissorie & taken a picture of part of the tail panel or Im I just too thick to see what Im supposed to be looking at.I see youve now started cheating trying to catch me up with your restoration by having someone help you (lol). I read on another thread tha your having trouble with theives & you say the cops cant catch the well why not install closed circuit TV may be an unwanted outlay but its got to be les expensive than keep buying new parts. Took some pics of the new upholstery will post these on Monday or should I say my daughter will when she;s back here at work. Dave

As far as the seat brackets, i didnt take them out, so i dont know if there is 2 or 4, come to think of it, i only remember seeing 1 pair, so maybe your correct, i'll find out on monday.The first pic shows the tail panel is pushed in pretty good, second shows it back in shape. Cops say cameras are worthless unless you know the person, they wont pick up license numbers and you cant blow up a digital picture cause it pixels too bad, my alarm guy reluctantly said he's right, so i've just decided to finish fencing the area off so they cant get in. The only thing i lost that i really needed were the steering arms for the firebird, everything else was junk, but it was good junk!

Here's the new covers on the rear seats. Same covers are on the front seats. They are PUI covers and I will also have new door panels courtesy of Al Nkoch of El Passo, Texas. I am told he makes the best. How's progress with yours?

Can anybody tell me with absolute certainty which gas filler door is correct for my car?
It is a last week in March build so it is fairly early. I read contradictory reports. Some say that the early build '67's had the flat door and later went on to the finger pull and then in '68 they went to the flat door again. Others say finger pull for all '67's, flat door for '68's.

The reason I need to know is somehow I managed to loose mine and need to replace it, so help in needed to help clear this up.
