Are you guys saying that the red plug wires make it a Buick engine?

Nope. The combo of both painting the engine red AND using Buick rally wheels makes it look like a Buick wannabe though. Funny thing is, he probably didn't even realize what he had done. Think of it this way, if you saw a Camaro with a Pontiac blue engine AND it was wearing Rally IIs...

I agree. I would have to win the lotto to fix cars of that unusual nature up, but that thing has mojo deluxe. Cars like that have a cartoon look to me. I would two tone red and white. Big medical cross on the door.

I'm going to say it's 'cause of the lines? Most don't really match the body well. Either too bulky, too square, too round, etc. Look at how nicely this windshield angle transitions into the roof. Someone spent some time getting the proportions right.

Look at all the pics. It must be a 1964 1/2.

Surprised there isn't a story about how it was a real late '64 and they had used up all the parts, so they put a '65 doghouse on it.

Smells like a clone. Seats are also wrong. Dash looks like an aluminum decal Rims maybe Mopar but could also be a buick. I'm not sure Mopar bolt pattern is the same as a Pontiac.I didn't know Chevy made a 389 engine. The things you learn on this forum will stay with me for life.

Hard to tell from internet pictures, but that engine looks more red than orange. Still don't know why you'd paint it that color.

Car is a mish-mash of parts but looks pretty clean overall. If it's not rusty it should be worth a decent amount, though his asking price seems pretty steep for what it is.

Agree. In another shot, the plug wires appear to be red.

Didn't another GM division use RED for their engines?
Like, the same division that supplied the Rally wheels??

Wouldn't you rather drive a...
