Temp Sender Thread Size 96 T/A

Hi can any one tell me what the size the temperature sender is on a 96 trans Am Lt1. The one that is mounted in the head that controls the gauge function. Got to get a aftermarket gauge and I need a adapter so the sender that comes with it will fit. Thanks
