Default Hello!

Wanted to say hi to everyone.

For as long as i can remember I've wanted a GTO. Back in grade school I can remember pestering my Dad asking what that car he used to have was. He'd tell me it was a GTO, but I had the hardest time remembering those 3 letters. I just knew I wanted one someday. Fast forward about 25 years and I finally got one. After reading these forums for advice and information I figured it was about time to join and be a part of the community.

It's a 1967 GTO. I believe most numbers are matching. The 400 has had some work done, but I'm still trying to figure out what and tune it properly. It's an automatic car with the his/hers shifter. A shift kit was put in it, so she'll bark the tires going into 2nd. It has the hood tach and doesn't have a/c. I believe it started out as Gulf Turquoise before being repainted black about 5 years ago. The body has never seen rust. The orginal am radio is still there and works, but the antenna is hooked up to a CD player in the glove box.

That's about all I can think of right now. I'd be happy to answer any other questions. This is my first classic car (unless you count the 1976 Ford Maverick which got me through college )

Welcome to the boards, that is an extremely nice '67. That's my favorite body style of these cars. I really like the third picture you posted, would make a great piece of art with some Photoshop.

The front drivers side does rub if you take a sharp turn with a bump in the road. I think that shock may be bad though. I noticed some leakage when it was on the lift.

Thumbs up FINE RIDE

that's a great looking goat. I had a triple black 66 when Moby Dick was a minnow.

Don't let that tire catch your wheel well trim on a turn

Welcome to PY.

I think it one of the laws of the universe that black vehicles are only allowed to be clean for about 20 minutes, tops.

But nothing looks better when they are. Welcome aboard.

Sweet lookin 67 Goat. And welcome to PY too.

Pssst...... Adjust that hood latch a little so you don't ruin the paint where it's touching now. I don't mean to be critical, I just want to save you some grief.
