watch for those EBAY "Clone ~A~Carb"'s as well
Question: is the Gardner SD exhaust different than the 72 HO Gardner system??
Wondering if I could use orginal 72 tips on it if i bought the SD system? Is it quiet enough to hear and talk inside?
I have 72RA exhaust manifolds.... NO, not burnin up my tires LOL
Ideas, thoughts??
I also considering a pypes with a 17725 crossflow dynamax super turbo ( 2 1/4 inch in and out)
the "Dronemaster" is TOAST!!!

If I'm not mistaken, the only difference is the 73SD system has the two tube resonators before the rear axle.

Resonators due mellow things out for sure but there is nothing like the real thing.
Without them you receive a more crisp sound in the rap stag.
Its all how your going to show and or use the car.
If I recall I heard a gardner system and it was really tinting or high in tone? The owner changed it in days.

If the engine is stock, the Gardner system sounds great (and the way it should). If there is a lumpier cam than all systems will not sound the way the engineers designed them. Case in point - I have two '74 SD's both with the Flowmaster system, both put on the same day last July. The 100% stock 8,000 mile car is reallly quite and sounds like a '74 Pontiac. The 49,000 mile car is twice as loud and you can here the replacement bumpstick!

Hey John,
I think I saw your old 69 Bird the other day. It was for sale at the mecum auction and looked identical to your old one from back in the 80's. Did yours have the antenna on the rear 1/4 on the right side? Brian.

Mine did have the antenna there but the one @ Mecum was Liberty Blue and mine was Windward Blue. I speak to the owner I sold it to often.
