At a POCI convention many decades ago I got a healthy door ding from a hotel employee parked 6 inches from my right door. They got a busted mirror in return.

The other thing is to crowd slightly towards the passenger side of the car next to you... less likely to have an occupant on that side of the car... and gives a little more room to the driver's side on the other side of the car.

Just a couple of weeks ago, me and Carolé took her Dad and his girlfriend for a ride in the 70 GTO down to the new Creamy Whip. This car is barely a month old from a fresh frame off restoration. I parked it in a spot where no one could hit it plus there was no other cars there. While we're enjoying our ice cream some biotch shoe horns her new Tahoe between my car and another car because she wanted to be as close as she could be to the place. She was real tight to the drivers side and had plenty of room to the passenger side. One of those deals where you have to turn sideways and suck your gut in to get in or out of the car. I went over and stood right next to the car as she got out to make sure nothing would happen and when she came back to leave with her hands full, I even asked her if she needed help because I didn't want her banging her door into my fender. She got pissed that I was standing there and that I asked her plus I think a little nervous because I actually did that but screw her! There were several people there watching and checking the car out and couldn't believe she pulled in as close as she did. One guy was staring at me when I walked away, I looked back at him and asked him what would he have done? His smiled and said exactly what I just did.

I parked in Mc Donalds many years ago and some woman hits my car with her door when she gets out I saw the ding in my car and waited til she came out and while she was sitting in her car I kicked the quarter panel on her car and put a sizable dent in it. She was dumbfounded and just sat there with a look of disbelief on her face and I just got in my car and drove away.

One other time many years ago also I came out of a restaurant to find some beater chevy parked right against my rear bumper. I promptly jumped up on the hood and jumped up and down on it then exited the scene.

The reason I did the vigilante thing is because these people don't think anything about scratching your car and even when you yell at them it does no good, they'll do the same thing at the next parking lot they pull into. I must add I was much younger then and probably wouldn't do it now. Man I had a bad temper back then........................LOL

I thought I was bad for taking key up and down the side of a car that hit mine a few years back. The same car got hit twice in the same parking lot. The first time, there was a light fluffing of snow on the ground with no tracks except mine and no other cars parked around mine. You could see where this person cut the turn a little to wide to park next to me and hit the rear bumper. The stupid thing they did was back up and park next to me anyway. Hard to deny the evidence with fresh tracks in the newly fallen snow.

The second time was an older lady; she had backed into my front bumper and was in the act of rubbing my bumper to try and remove the mark when I came out of the store. I was not very nice to her.

At the gym one year......I notice the car behiond me is parked really close so I go back and look; the car is actually touching my bumper. Now get this....I get in and inch forward a bit as I was going to do something I should not have been doing and to my surprise, the car followed me. LOL So, I jumped back in my car and pulled out fast....you guessed it....standard and parking brake was not engaged. Needless to say, the car had it's wheels turned slightly to the left and there was a bit of a downgrade so the car rolled forward and smack, right into the car that was beside me. I suppose the adult thing to do was to go in an have them announce about the car rolling, instead of pulling out but this makes for a far better story.

I have taken out my frustrations on an inconsiderate A$$es car via my boot. Blows my mind that people could care less about other peoples property, but it shouldn't as taking responsiblity for what you do in life is a foreign concept these days.

After I'd just had my 71 Camaro repainted, I was at a shopping center to pick up some stuff for my mom. I parked out where there wasn't a car arround for 200 feet. Wouldn't you know it but this older woman pull up right next to me, facing the opposite way, in her new Chevy... driver's door to driver's door. I was still sitting in my seat and she opens her door and lets it slam into my driver's door. I was PISSED and told her so. She says I'm so sorry. Well she was when she came back... after I see her go in a store I got out and kicked in her driver's door while saying I'm so sorry. Then I left.

I voiced my displeasure with her and basically got told to F off as she walked away. As I ate my first wing, I noticed she had her sunroof open.... I finished all 12 wings before she got back and I waited awhile for her to see my handiwork, but had to get back to work before she reappeared. I still laugh when I think about it

Talking about not setting the parking brake....
I was leaving a bar in Wauconda late and a semi dump truck was up against my 68 Firebird's front bumper. I went back in the bar and asked the bartender if they knew whose truck it was. They said the owner was passed out drunk in the truck and since he had a gun it was best to just leave him alone. I backd up and the truck followed me. I got out of there as quick as I could and the semi rolled back across the parking lot and luckily hit a tree instead of rolling down an embankment. No harm to the 'Bird and I bet the guy woke up in morning wondering how he got into the weeds.

I happen to know a fellow who followed someone home discretely after one of these parking lot mishaps to his ride.
Later on in the night with a return visit to the home, he unloaded his super soaker filled with brake fluid all over the guys car parked near the end of the driveway.

I'm the guy parked at the far end of the lot, far away from the general population with mine. Ignorant (most) people just piss me off.

But even then you still get the occasional frigging moron who decides he's gonna park right next to you for some stupid reason.

I used to get really upset... I remember one time walking out of a Wal-Mart type store (after buying a can of brake fluid...) to an old Chevelle SS I had- sure enough some tool had parked so close I couldn't even open my drivers door.

I'll bet that dumb SOB wondered what the heck happened to all the paint on his hood shortly thereafter...

seems like there are a lot of dead beats any more they dont own anything nice , they dont want anything nice and why should you or anyone else is the way they look at it. so they open there doors on your car that you try to take care of. they are the same people that leave shopping carts all over the parking lot at walmart, to lazy to return the cart to a shopping cart spot. it really burns me! enough said i need to cool down.
