As soon as all of the back orders are filled, could you post that you are accepting new orders?
BTW, when you have steak in something, it should be in your mouth( get it, you eat the steak). When you have a stake in something, it should be in a vampire( like a stake in the heart)!

Hi Gearbanger, I am glad to see that you are finally giving my other half some support. We have been through a lot with these headers, and he is trying his best to get out everyones orders......Since you mentioned his welds,........aren't the pics you showed just a little rougher? He is doing his best, and I think they are beautiful!!!!!
Thanks for the help in trying to get sponsors.Keep up the good work!!!!:AND BY THE WAY, 73 T/A IS A HOMO (lol) Right back at ya...... (from a previous post to my hubby)Rons Deanna

Hey Deanna,
You are right, those head side welds are rougher than on Ron's. I still say there is no need for all that weld on the tube side of the flange. If you can find a shot of the other side of those Mad Dogs, you will see what I am talking about. I am terribly excited to possibly be getting these tri-y's. If I wasn't I would never try to get anyone else to buy them. I am just trying to give constructive comments, that could possible make them even better and faster to make. Peace. |

Sent Pm gearbanger to try & explain some what. Also I guess my wife is a member also. I thought she just had ESP or womans intuition when she talked to e about the headers I guess not.
I showed her those pics of your Mad Dogs about a week or so ago. She got heated because there were complaints about the old welds in 06' but there wasn't a mention about these. She was referring to the welds joining all the tube seems not really the ports. That was just one of the many hypocritical things I was referring to I an above post about a basher. Also I hate being physically threatened for stating the truth. I haven't got the time to meet anyone behind the gym after third grade class, sorry. LLLLOOOOL I have nothing against Mark at Mad Dog. I have talked with him also in the past & think he has a great product & attitude towards Pontiac's unlike other header Co's I had spoken with. BUT apples vrs apples my wife seems to think if its a non issue in Mad Dogs case & all customers were more than happy with his then my new welds are more than up to par. |

Now that the bender is up & running again I can get rid of a few welds to speed up the process a little, save expense & add quality. Soon I will have oval flanges & gaskets for the oval collectors for easy connection to exhaust. There are two different designs I'll try out before I release the one that I like best.

Ron, thanks for the PM, and that info does help me understand the process more. I stand corrected on the Mad Dogs, his tubes do have more weld than I remembered on the outside of the header flange. The front and rear tubes dont, but the center one are almost fully welded. Probably for the reasons you said. The hooker headers I have, are the ones that have no weld on the outside of the header flange, but they do have the "beads" on the gasket side that seal things up. I guess that is the difference.
Now go make me some headers! |

I just received my headers this afternoon and man they do look cool! I will take some pictures later tonight and post them so everyone can see how they turned out. Ron you did an amazing job on them, materials, fit and welds are first class.
thanks Jim Moshier

Ron, it has been awhile, my friend. I'm glad to see you back in business. My Tri-Ys have been on the T/A for about 5 years now. I still love them and the sound they make. Nothing like it. Good luck!!!

My headers arrived at the shop yesterday. I haven't seen them, but they are being test fitted today and then off to get coated. Short timeline so that they are on for the TA Nats. Thanks again Ron.

I have three sets to ship by Fri & they have been notified. These three are all sponsors because I had to have a large amount for the next tubing order & meet the deadline for delivery. The supplier required it that way since Im the only one that they carry my product for.
I will have three sets for owed customers out by the end of next week using the tubes from that order I needed. Larry (he already knows) & two others that I haven't contacted yet. Not until the tubes arrive so that there wont be any problems. These three sets that are to be out by Fri. have a few improvements not in the design but in the build process. It allows me to lose 2 to 2 1/2 hrs of build time on O-ports & about 45min to 1 hr on D-ports. All while making a better product & reducing the amount of finishing materials I use to make them look nice. So I'm getting faster & more efficient while dealing with inventory to build them. Since I cant buy one tube at a time.

So can I be one of the two new sets since I paid in Feb, 05 and because I got you a sponsor from the Pro-touring forums?

Mine are on the car! Don't have pics yet, but they fit great. We are welding the exhaust today so that the car can head to the Nats tomorrow. Once I see them in person I will give some up-dates.

I have been going through the random stuff around the shop to see whats in the way so I can get rid of it. I have two sets of headers sitting her that can go. One is a old used set & one is a new & un-used old style header. I got both back from guys in my area a few months ago for testing, mods & other references.
The used set is an Auto ONLY headers from the first run 5 years ago. It has a dent in the drivers side due to him trying it on some car that it wasn't made for. $200 The new old style is a 4spd/auto set & is in the same condition as when I sent it out years ago just a few scuffs on the paint no dents & old style D-port flanges $400 They both are 2 gen F-body headers If some one wants a set cheaper than the new ones I'm building now then this is your chance. I don't need them any more
