Mornin' fellas.
Back from BES and what a cool experience.
Tony and his guys are great.
Class act all the way.
We ran it in on race fuel then switched over to 93 octane pump gas.
Had to make some changes to the dist first
We started with the 1050 Jeff Esmel built but it was very lean down low (at tip in) then it would pick-up.
Switched to 1100 pro syastems carb for first few pulls.
Best we got on race fuel was 705hp @ 7200
After we were comfortable with everything, we switched back to Jeff's carb to fatten it up on the bottom without leaning it out on the top end.
After a few pulls we were headed in the right direction. This thing LOVES fuel.
The more fuel we put to it....the more the torque came on.
With Jeff's carb we started with the supplied 86/92 jets and .045 high speed air bleeds and wound up at 99 jets and .026 high speed air bleeds.
Horsepower was virtually unchanged between C25 and 93 octane.

Best on pump gas was....(going from memory as I forgot the dyno sheets)
704 hp @ 7200 607 tq @ 5100

Can't seem to get vidio clip to load.....

Yes...richened it up and pulled out a little bit of timing.

Here's a link to one of the pulls. TURN IT UP!

Nice numbers. Hope you can post the curve. Just about exactly where I expected peak tq and power rpm's. I suspect you will be able to run 89 octane and still get similar numbers. Nice combo.

Sounds like a great engine! Did you happen to catch the V/E number? I'm just curious.

I don't have the print out sheet at this time. Amidst all of the excitement and getting everything loaded up for the trip home...I knew I'd forget something.......
I forgot the dyno print outs. I'll get Brian to send them to me.

Awesome !! I can't believe that thing made 704 hp with only 9.80 compression. Uncle Tony is one of the best.
Congrats on a awesome street motor.

Wow, great #s for another Pontiac powered pump gas monster !
Congrats BNICK !

You shopping for drag chutes now ? Seems you may need one to slow the torquey beast down at the track

Very nice. I was pretty close, only 10hp off. That thing should run pretty well.

My hat's off to Roland Racing, All the guys at BES, Len Caverly, Jeff Esmel, Dave Bishoff, all the great people on the Pontiac Zone and the PY Forum for their input and inspiration and everyone else involved in this build. I tried to spread it around a little bit to each of the Pontiac Vendors and buy at least 1 thing from everyone I could think of. When I found out what it would cost to buy an engine such as this...I thought...I can build it cheaper than that.
Don't try this at home, friends.
My next one will be a one and done build....here's what I want, call me when it's ready.

Again....my most sincere gratitude to everyone involved.

Yes...square jetted.
Tony said the easiest way to lean it down after I add my complete exhaust for the street is to just change the High Speed by-pass bleeds from .026's to .030's.
