a fast back cat from 67 or 68,
a first gen pony car,
or a goat from pontiac will fit the bill for most of you.

but I love the other GM A bodies, full sized muscle, and pony cars too,
in addition to mini muscle like a Nova or Ventura.

I like AMC Javelin, AMXs, and Machines.
I love plenty of Mopar.

And , gasp, fast back Mustangs, Torinos, Galaxies

Just about any two seat, almost midsized, midsized, full sized, luxury, etc. two door post or hardtop RWD V8 from 68 to 72 GM and up to 74 for others. And drool over the convertibles too.

And not just the rare , top of the line models.

I can appreciate a 68 Buick Special or Pontiac Tempest, or Chevelle that is not the top of the line.

Not a big fan of the lil 'stangs but thats about it. When I found my 68 I was actually looking for a buick wildcat convertible. Turns out, those are hard to find!

Other than my 66 GTo , I only drool over the early Shelby Mustangs(65 to 68) and the Shelby Cobras. A really good looking 65 or Pontiac 2+2, or even a 68 AMX too.

Me, absolutely. Pontiac and MoPar were always my favorites, but lately I'm coming to more fully appreciate the muscle Fords (Galaxie, Fairlane, Torino), Mercurys, and AMC products. There is something from every make that I would love to own.

I like something from just about all manufacturers. AMC is about the only one I don't have a model that I would love to own. Here's my short list:
Ford - 69 Mach I or Shelby
Mopar - 70 Roadrunner
Chevy - 69 Camaro Z28
Olds - 69 Hurst Olds
Buick - 70 GS Stage 1
Pontiac - 69 Judge (my next acquisition if Pontiac)

I'm sortta there;

I obsess of '67 Camaros and '68 Chargers. I won't buy a new one for $30k, but if they gave me a loan for an old one. I think of buying a '70s Corvette frame and build it from the ground up. When I see those sport roof Torinos, I have problems. I dig the detail body line of E-body Challengers. I've been this way over American muscle for years. I've building the closest thing to a RA/IV TransAm that I can + some.

What's new is I Love Silvias and Fairlady Zs. The FJ20 sends me into tizzys. One of those RWD Celica GTSs from the '80s would make any day brighter. Who thought a Corrola AE86 GTS could handle like that. The Devil Z - Wooooo, I want one. 4G63 - that's just awesome. Vintage Cult status JDM. The Skyline GTR.

Holdens, Vauxhalls, Opels (I wanted this Opel Manta so bad to put a turbo Wankle rotary I have in - Too sweet, but no room). The Aussie Ford Falcons and Chargers.
I'm gonna watch those Toranas and Falcons go at it again at Bathhurst in the '70s ; They turn right and the car are built from street cars.

The danger of a mid-engined car, leathal at the edge. The rear engined Porsches with the motor out back; I don't know that the cars were ment to be driven at the edge; That's crazy how it swings when you close the plates. I'd like to build a Ferrari 512S; Lol Just run and hide from that monster. The Porshe 917 K - WOW! - Dominance. The GT-40 - Dr Evil wants to build some sleds!!! The Countach with a 1" steel tube Space frame. The Miura - Wow; How buitiful can a car get? The 365GTB4 Daytona - It's like a Jessica Alba who never had a child, never ages, and follow your every command with the utmost passion.

Weber IDAs, DCOE, Direct injection, Hemis, Turbos, 4-valves, canted valves, wedges, straight cut gears, dog clutches, Adjustible 2-way clutch diffs, Dual A-arms, IRS, stepped headers, Capacitive discharge, BOVs, Roll cages, Chromemoly spherical bearings, It just goes on and on.

But the there's the car **** in me; No convertables, sunroofs,(get ready to cringe!) T-tops, targas; just leave my roofs solid. No autos, A/Cs, carpets headliners, back seats, passengers, radios. I can't stomach a FWD ; I'd rather walk than own one and I've proven it.

So there you have some of it; CarCraft and HotRod since I was 10, thousands of model cars, I collect car parts apperantly. Anyone else have a dry-sump pump in their bed room? 35 and still loving my cars; I say that normal people pick their hobbys, My hobby picked me. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of somthing automotive - ever. I'm not sure I can carry on a conversation about anything else, I know I don't want to.

I do, but that's just because I rarely see any muscle cars on the road anymore unless they are going to shows or it is a nice Sunday.
Anything is cool to me. If I wouldn't get a Pontiac, an AMC Rebel Machine would be my next choice.

like if DeLorean had not left Pontiac and we could have had our 70 GTO 455 built to RAIII and IV specs to compare with the GS455s and SS454s. (topic for another post,
I think if they had compared a RA 400 to the 455 but with same transmission and rear end gearing in that old article, it would have a driver's race- and that the RAIV treatment to the 455 would have been something from the factory stock)

or if there had been a Hurst GTO to go with the Hurst Olds, like a 68 RAII 428 or something.

or if two door posts had been an option instead of just hard tops on 68-70 gtos

I'd like to have another 69 Mercury Cyclone CJ. Also would like to lay my hands on a decent 383 4 speed 69 Road Runner as that was what I started racing in back in 1977. Another 72 Mach 1 with a 351CJ 4 speed would be nice to have again also. I've always liked the GS Buicks and would like to have another 68 442 Olds also. And of course a 66-67 427 Fairlane would be a great car to have also, or a 63 427 Galaxie. And of course I'd love to have a 71 Judge to go along with my 71 GTO.

Truth is, and all the joking aside...when i was young i was a GTO guy, and thats the only car i wanted, needed and persued..i thougt all others sucked, but now, i like all of them..and i mean almost every brand and type of muscle cars....simply because the represent a time and a place that gone ...and daily...there are less and less.......i really enjoy the odd cars...weird stuff..like supercharged studes, and dual quad buicks...and always thought the supercharged dusters where cool...

I love them all but your typical first gen camaro or just about any year chevelle. Mainly because they are the Stairway to Heaven or Freebird of the muscle car community. Just tired of seeing them at every cruise in, magazine or TV show. I've got quite a list of cars I want to own. Some of them aren't even GM cars.
