Those are just 16X8's! If I had done over again I would put out the extra cash and gone with the 17's. I do have my eye on the new honeycombs coming out.

Well it looks great the way it is. 17" rides rougher too, I don't know how people drive these cars with 18's, my 17's are harsh enough in comparison to those smooth riding 14's that were on there! I have been thinking of sandblasting my centers like on the Vintage Wheel works to give them a vintage vibe.

That picture taken from the rear shows what I would call a "perfect stance." Nice backdrop too.

As I recall,I was standing on a barstool when I shot the rear 3/4 view which gave it just the right angle. The shadows,depth of field,exposure & backdrop just seem to really flow. The subject also contributes ALOT to the photo quality. It was definately the NICEST early T/A around here at the time. (those are REAL JW's under the factory installed PO6 trim rings) When I think back,it was amazing how many "pile of junk" early T/A's were around in the early 80's.(NOBODY was restoring them yet) What's missing from this shoot is Norwoods 70 1/2. It would be the PERFECT mate for the photo shoot that GM never did. I'll bet they would have sold a TON more blue T/A's if one was actually pictured in the showroom brochure & sales/order guide. |
