It came with honeycombs.

GM Canada has more detailed records regarding this stuff -- believe them.

All PHS has is the invoice, and since the transmission and wheels were no cost options, they weren't on the invoice. So PHS doesn't know.

As for the recreation window sticker PHS makes...the original window sticker would have listed "Turbo Hydramatic Trans" along with the other options listed down below, but there would have been no charge for it in the far right column. But since PHS records don't tell them which trans it had... they can't get that part of it correct.

That what I figure the Trans Am came with(honeycombs)

because when I personally talk to George Zapora of GM of Canada he explain that to me, the no cost options and that they reinvoice the car for the canadian dollars which is why they have all the info on the cars.

I also email Jim at PHS several times and he explain to me that because of the no cost they could not tell what options ( wheels or trans) OK that is fine with me I do not have a problem with that. The problem I have with the window sticker is that it clearly mention unless specified that the rally II are standard on the Trans Am ,so that means it came with rally II w/trim rings, but really they do not know what rims came on the Trans am. If PHS does not know what the options are on a car then they have to explain why they can't tell and not say it this or that that the car came with.

Now how many people think that their 72 f-body came with those options the rims rally II or honeycombs and standard or auto trans (no cost options) but really they PHS do not really know what it came with. I was just lucky or unlucky to find out about this because I order the stuff from GM of Canada

That's why I bought them , I couldn't pass up on them not the proper codes but for now it works for me . What is the proper code or date code for my 72 Trans Am ,build date is 09D fourth week of sept 71

Does anybody have this 72 forms that were filled out in 1971 or in 1972 to see what kind of markings they used to check off the option box , a check mark or "x" or whatever they did in 1972

The 2 example of the forms are the ones PHS supplies with the package I bought . I want to try to duplicate the way they did it in 72 and not just green highlights over a few obvious options like motor, color ,trans ,etc that PHS does

Mid summer 2010

1972 Trans Am battery tray. I sandblasted the tray primed it and painted it to try to preserve it has long has possible . I will not used that tray on the Trans Am .I will replace it with a repro or a good used one .

My ears perked up when I saw that you had a 9D T/A. My '72 was built 70 units after your car.
I have a Blue/blue auto car. Mine came with the KR Rallys.

Yours ears are going to perk up even more. Bossbirdta 1972 Trans Am is a 09D TA also and his was build about 30+ cars before mine ,maybe build on the same date . Maybe all three Trans Am were build on the same day? Amazing that after almost 40 years that we could talk or email guys that have the same cars and that were build probably the same day. Blows my freaking mind

Restore the master cylinder cap ,I know it not the right color but this is the original cap and at one point I'll get it done the proper color
