I believe in '66 it was the "Star Chief Executive", but I don't think there was a convertible body style available that year (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
I was thinking it looks like a 2+2 convertible that has had some "customization" done to it over the years. |

Gotten a few things lately, but it's slow. I blame the weather, bought three cars off CL last year, more will be out there

The parts are out there around here. Bought a set of # 96 heads, late 60's cast iron intake, timing cover, WS6 sway bar and a complete carb to pan standard bore 455 recently.
All were reasonably priced. |

Bill, Around here with the crush weight rate so high, everyone is scraping everything in site. Seems there are alot of people scraping old cars these days. Sad some people dont even want to talk to you about cars they have THEN you see them turned into scrap.

What? You mean you actually used to find stuff LOCALLY? I swear, I haven't bought anything within driving distance in years. Granted, central Florida isn't known for great salvage yards or parts preservation, but still...
But yeah, overall there does seem to be less and less Pontiac stuff on there.

A lot of the really good deals on craigslist are gone before most people even see them (ad is deleted after they are bought almost immediately). I attribute this to the now-widespread use of craigslist (paper classifieds around here have been virtually extinct for several years now) as well as the popularity of smartphones that allow people to monitor craigslist from anywhere, anytime.
I haven't scored any Pontiac stuff lately (missed out on a couple as I was a few minutes too late), but I have made a few outstanding tool purchases over the past year or two. |

In the past 6 - 12 months I've definitely noticed a drastic drop in pontiac parts and cars for sale.

You guys are lucky to have found Pontiac parts on CL. Around here I don't see much at all. A lot of Chevy and import stuff, though when I post Pontiac parts for sale they get eaten up quick.

I've done quite well buying stuff on CL and turning around and flipping it. Usually someone who's not a hard core Pontiac guy that has an engine or heads in his garage wanting to clean up. The last year though has been real bad. I've driven over 100 miles for the right parts, but haven't picked up anything in months. Still trying to figure out why. Maybe Spring cleaning will start up soon.

I see the same Pontiac stuff listed again and again, never drop in price. You would think they would get the hint.

I still see some stuff around Tennessee and Alabama, but it doesn't last long on C/L. You gotta be quick, lol! Most of it is junk, waay overpriced, or both. Not many "clean used cars" from the 60's and 70's left. Currently a guy wants $6K for a '72 GS455 project- with no engine or trans!

That car is a 2+2 with a Star Chief dash.
