![]() ![]() I'd say loose the cap and put on some real tires and it'll be a sharp looking truck.

Great get!! Looks like it sure was well taken care of. I say pull the trigger on the topper. It'll really compliment the truck well.

Mice lookin C10. I hauled a few of those babies.
I say put the Topper on. At least you'll be able to haul larger cargo and keep it dry.... plus have a comfortable place to take a nap.

Boy that was the deal of the cetrury , and thats in very good shape , you got the better of the deal ! just wax it and keep it out of the salt ! , I got 275K out of my last gm Pickup ( 78 c20 camper special ) till I lost it inthe divorce and the x's boyfreind blew the motor up and she junked it ( Dumb broad paid to have it towed away , when the chassis and drive trail was worth $$$$ more without a motor )

Go on a long trip in that... you'll wish you had that '99 extended cab back. I've had several (10or11) '73-'87 GM trucks...... And can say... they don't have enough legroom and the seat doesn't lean back far enough for me. I sold my '78 GMC Sierra Classic a couple of years ago. It was originally a 5.7 diesel that was replaced by a 455 Olds.
BTW - That is a very very nice truck. Is it a 305 or a 350?

But I agree the whitewalls need to go. Thinking about some 235/70/15's to replace the stock 205/75/15's.Also thinking about a slight drop - maybe 1" in the front and 2" in the back. Still struggling on the topper - I don't like having to bend over to get into the bed of the truck. When they first told me there was a topper included if I wanted it - I immediately said no (thinking it was the typical aluminum topper). But they made me go look at it - and when I saw it... Well let's just say that it's making the decision tougher. Quote:

It's a 305 with the 2bbl. I was disappointed in that when I found that out - but I have to say it's performs quite a bit better than I expected. Maybe I should stoke it...
