Warranty is same as other bumpers. Remember, show chrome doesn't necessarily mean the bumpers will last longer, they just polish these bumpers way more after each operation. That polishing give the bumpers a much smoother deeper chrome shine.

Are these coming out for the 70-72? I'm planning to buy one soon, but maybe I will hold off if a nicer one is coming down the pipe.

No, I'm sorry the mfg that makes the 70-72 bumpers is different than this one making the show chrome bumpers.

These bumpers are the same tooling and stampings as the ones that have been available for the last couple years. The chrome process and polishing has been upgraded quite a bit.

These bumpers are made and chromed overseas, there really is no official warranty. If something happens to these bumpers, we've taken responsibility for 1 year if installed and in the elements. If the bumper isn't rusting after 1 year, it's normally going to be a bood one. All I can say is the regular plating on these bumpers seems to be holding up very well. We sell about 100 year and maybe get 1 or 2 chrome complaints per year.

Not one of the bumpers on the list. Different factory.

Maybe you can report back here in this topic after you receive the bumper. I'm sure readers want to hear some 'impartial' feedback.

Looking forward to hearing your report. My originals look fantastic but I was considering having them re-plated, however, going rate here locally is $750 each. If these new ones are very nice, might be worth considering...

Well, my New PY "show Chrome" bumper arrived today (overnight!), along with some wiring harnesses. I MUST say, the chrome QUALITY, and FINISH work is MUCH NICER than the "other" repro bumper I have. The cost was not much more ($50) and the freight was cheap. For those who asked, the bumper weighs 13 KGS. , the same as the other repro one. THERE ARE NO SANDING/STAMPING marks in the new one. The chrome is buffed up nicer also.......GOOD WORK PY ! and THANKS MIKE ! Eric

Just a question as to why no one ever reproduces the 400 bumper with the holes for the nose emblem? I know the common answer is to drill the holes in the standard bumper but the few times I have drilled a hole in a chrome bumper, putting tape on the spot prior to drilling, the chrome peels away from the hole and over time gets worse and rusts.

My guess would be only if we can get Chris and Steve Ames in the same room and hypnotize them!
