2" headers in first gen firebird. Wha's fit?
I am running 2" headman and they sux, What elese do we have there? What are you guys using for 2" primary. Thanks

Indian Adventures use to carry 2" with 3.5" and it was slip fit pipes ,when they were around (i don't know what happen to them nowadays.. anyone?) i believe it was made by Mad Dog .

Kinda OT -- but
I used Hedman headers 2"-d-port and they didn't even fit (at all). I also used hedman 1.75(?) and they sucked as well. Hooker SC fit much much better (1.75"). |

i had 2" mad dog headers for my e-heads and they fit everywhere but hit the side of the IAII block and my oil pan. if its a stock block than you will be fine with them. if not have custom headers made..

I have no issues with the Hedman 2" headers fitting.
The only place I found troubles was on the drivers side at the stock steering box. But they still fit. I now have a vega style steering box and there is plenty of room.

Mad Dog headers fit really well. MUCH better than the Hedman's ever did.

I have 2" X 3 1/2" Nunzi in my 69 Firebird with E-heads. Fit great but with A/C the back bolts are a problem. Had to massage the driver side because of the motor mount. I have used these headers on a 455 and IAII.

I have headman headers on my 69 firebird but it wasn't easy. I cut them mostly all up and reconfigured to tubing on all but about 3 pipes. The steering box was an issue and some tapping with a hammer fixed that. No more looping around the frame. I also welded in the flowmaster ball & socket flanges, no gaskets there. They should advertize these headers to fit any engine because they sure don't fit a pontiac, (some cutting, welding, beating and banging required for proper fit). I did all that and did not gain 1 hp over the 1 3/4" headers that fit really well. So to all,... up to about 600,(maybe even more) hp keep your 1 3/4" headers on and spend your time and money somewhere else.
