Rob, hang in there until Charles finds out what Cardone has done or is doing. I myself have not heard if any new part number for the "correct" pump has been assigned yet by Cardone. Last I'd heard it had not been given a new part number, and that was from our last comversation with Cardone a week or so ago.
Numbers found at different parts stores lately might not have anything to do with this "correct" pump. If anyone gets one of these pumps, make sure you look at it before you buy it. It might still be the pump with the shaved impeller vanes, and not be what everyone is looking for. We can only pass on what we're told by Cardone. And so far it's not much info.... just that they are working on it. What they need right now is a set of good original correct divider plates from back in the 60s, not the SS repo plates, so they can get the pumps checked and out to everyone that needs one.

i received a e-mail back from cardone and it stated that at this time he did not know of any fix or remanufacture on the 8 bolt pump. Does any one have a date yet or is it still up in the air. I am getting ready to upgrade my cooling system in the next month and am wondering if the flowcooler pump would be a good alternative if the cardone pump is not ready at that time

Need to finish this project up and drive it! Will wait a day or two and then order a Flowkooler with SS plates from R.A.R.E.
Thanks, Rob......

That's because you didn't talk to the ones we had the meeting with... in Philadelphia, PA. Their Tech guys don't know what's going on up the ladder from them.

Kudos to you! I've been following this thread and waiting for Cardone to act. But like you, I'm ready to move NOW and seems to me that if they were serious about this, the new product would be available by now. If Flowkooler makes a proper pump, that's what I'll get. Perhaps Cardone needs to expend the current inventory of worthless pumps before they'll put the proper pump on sale.

Cardone is willing, but as we understand it, there is not a plate manufacturer stepping up to make the original type plate as of yet.
More when we can find out for sure. Charles |

Stupid question that has been bugging me.
Is it pronounced Card One or Car Done? Thanks, Russ |

car-done, and the done rhymes with Rome.

Yeah, "-done" as in DOAN, as in "Doan's Pills", for a pain in your back side.
I gotta say, it sure would be nice (and satisfying, as a potential but weary customer) if they would chime in first-hand and provide a status update on the situation.
