I got the samples from Legendary last Monday and chose the darker shade. My new carpet arrived Friday. Guess what? They sent me the lighter color!! First, the wrong brand now the wrong color. I am beginning to wonder about the rest of my order. I'll call them tomorrow and see what's going on.
I am taking the car to be painted Saturday, the 6th of August. I need to see what kind of trim clips and how many I will need to put the rear convertible top well trim on. Also, I need to find out what color the piece of metal that goes across the rear seat back to hold the top boot is and which way to mount it? Does the lip go to the top or bottom?

The piece of metal should be painted the same as the rest of your interior. A T-shaped plastic piece with a strip of velcro glued to it fits in the slot in the top. Here are some pics that may help:

Thanks for the reply Richard. I am honored that you chose my thread to make your 100th post but I hope I am done with this project before you hit 200! If you make more than 3 posts a week I better change that to 500!
When it goes to the body shop I probably won't get it back before Christmas!

I still haven't gotten my carpet problem with Legendary resolved. I hope to hear from them tomorrow. Also, there may be a hitch in taking the car to the body shop next week and I may have to put it off for another week.
I didn't do anything to the car this week. I did buy a part from a fellow PYer and will update totals when I add the Legendary Interior price. Y'all have a good one and stay cool!

Well, I finally got the right carpet from Legendary. Now, I have to call customer relations and see if they will reimburse me for returning the two wrong pieces. The rest of my interior was supposed to ship on the 28th of July but it hasn't arrived yet. I know Legendary is supposed to be the best but their customer service is not very good. At least, in my case it hasn't been.
Oh well, onto the car. I tore the two layers of upholstery off the driver's side seat today and found the bottom springs are broke in two places. I have another bottom that I will check. I started sorting out the parts that need to go with the car when it goes to the body shop next Saturday. And, I started a list of everything else I still need to buy. When I tore the upholstery off I found two things in the seat bottom. A 1967 quarter and a golf tee with "Wide Track Pontiac" and the arrowhead logo on it. The quarter has seen circulation so it must have been lost later. I will update totals when the rest of my interior gets here. Y'all have a good one

Just think, it must ahve been a corporate Pontiac golfer that put your seats together. Tho I'm no golf addict or golfer, I've never seen a T like that. Could be a rare find and worth at least 10 bucks or more.

I thought of offering it for sale here but decided that it and the quarter will go in the glove box along with any other items I find in the other seats. The tee was under the original seat cover and had to have been put there before the seat was covered.

I agree... best to hang on to them both. Hopefully they'll be your 'Good luck' pieces.

Too bad Phil. If the quarter had been 3 years older, it'd be worth about 7 bucks!

The Goat is GONE!!! To the body shop, that is. I took it yesterday. Now, I have some trim parts to buff and a bunch of stuff yet to buy! Norman wasn't real happy about having to change the color on the interior but he is going to.
Oh yeah, When I loaded all the interior parts that need to be painted I forgot that for each seat back there are two seat bottom sides. It will be cheaper to UPS the other two sides than deliver them myself. And,Eric, the 64 has not been painted yet. The interior is painted and the car has been jammed. He was supposed to paint the hood and trunk this morning. Right now, he can only paint before 9am. After that it's too hot and humid. Y'all have a good one.

Good to here "It's gone... to the paint shop."
Phil, did you try to find some Turquois SEM paint for the seat sides? If not do so for touch-up. You never know when you might need it. BTW.... the seat backs and sides are not glossy, they should be flat. But I'm sure you know that already.
