The passenger side rear quarter was wrecked. The trunk lid gap was out of kilter so Norman had to "work" it out.

Sounds like you have a thorough and competent guy there.

I have the same problem with my '68...I was thinking of 'adjusting' the rear edge of my quarter. Three different trunk lids prove it's the quarter and not the lids.

Nothing new from Norman. I bought a couple items from "Tomslemans67" and want to give him a thumbs up for the deal. The parts he sent me were much nicer than the description and he gave me a fair price.
I also want to thank Andre for taking back the door handles that I bought from him. This was after I tried to polish some minor scratches out of one of them and went through the chrome. He is a stand-up guy and I hope to deal with him and Tom again. So I paid $75.00 to Tom for an A/C control panel and windshield washer bottle and got back $50.00 from Andre which gives me a net expenditure of $25.00. I will add this the next time I update my totals.

I haven't heard from Norman so I have nothing new to report on the paint side. I went to a swap meet in Perry, Ga. yesterday but didn't find anything. The big swap meet is next weekend in Moultrie, Ga. I hope to get some stuff there.
And, the wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas so I'll have to make up a list. I hope I made her "nice" list!

Pick me up somethin' while you're there. I'm not picky...as long as it's not a set of S-10 wheels...I've still got them things. Too nice to throw away and I can't give them away...lol

Well I went to the swap meet yesterday and bought some stuff. I found a guy who was getting out of the swap meet business and he sold me a pair of the repro tail light lenses and door sill plates for $225.00. The sill plates have the riveted logo on them.
Other than that, I still haven't heard from my painter. If everything goes right I will be sending my gauges to Pete after Thanksgiving. Here are the new totals including the $25.00 from a couple weeks ago. My Labor @445 hrs. ..............$8,900.00 Parts ................................$13,534.51 Outside Labor........................$7,801.00 Gifts....................................$1,609.87 Total..................................$31,845.38

OK Charles and Gary, I'm putting you on my list! I walked that swap meet for 8 hours and only found two parts for my 67. I wasn't set for 66 parts!

I think Phill needs one of those Scooter chairs they advertise on TV. But I'm not sure how good they are to pull a trailer for picking up swapmeet parts. LOL

LMAO... I feel for ya Phil. I don't use a walker.... yet. But like you I've been so mad that I too at times have almost spit out my dentures, but not from spitting. Well, I guess I was spittin mad. LOL And I can go without using Pollident. Next time sneak up on em and flatten one of their tires. That'll slow em down a bit, but don't get caught. ![]() Maybe next time you get in that situation, put yer teeth in yer pocket. I have a couple of times.
