Try car-part.com. Looks like quite a few available across the country. A lot less than $100.

Not more trouble with that dash cluster, I thought you got that fixed? FYI my 99 Sierra has the digital odo. Knock on wood, the gauges still work though.

We have a company here that will rebuild it for about $100.00 with a lifetime guarantee.

This is a very early 2000 2500 series chevy pick up with parts used from a 99 from the factory. It has the gear driven speedometer unlike most 2000 models that have the digital speedo and gauges. These two cannot be interchanged. Lots of people can fix the later ones. Havent heard of anyone fixing the older ones. As mine did his gas gauge is going nuts spinning 1/2 way past the full mark then to empty and then who knows where. Gm only sells the new cluster or circuit board for around $400. I can find older speedo clusters but they are not the same as his. I feel I need a 97 or 98 cluster. Car parts.com didnt show any pics and I dont want to buy blind. Just chevy trucks showed invalid choice when I put in speedo cluster and instrument panel. By the way this is a one owner truck never messed with.

you should be able to find this cluster(97-99) in any salvage yard. Anything from a Tahoe to a 3500 should be the same cluster.

I"m curious.... I have a '98 tahoe that has always had issues with the temp gauge. My fuel gauge is not working properly either. I have replaced the individual gauges and the senders, to no avail. I have not replaced the cluster. I just took the individual fuel/temp gauges out of a truck at the JYD... Is this a known problem? I wonder if a new cluster would bring my gauges back to a happy state??

Fairly common problem as I understand it. So a cluster may fix it.

If the fuel gauge is acting up, are you sure it is not the fuel level sender in the tank?

Possibly it could be the fuel sending unit but it is less than a year old. My 05 was doing the same thing but it was the gauge

also the fact it costs anywhere from 120.00-160.00 to fill these things,it may have spent alot of time on the E-1/4 full lines..wearing out that spot on the sender in the tank lol

My buddy Monty Blount, also a PY member, operates a salvage yard and has more Chevy trucks than any yard between Dallas and El Paso. Here's his website.
