Thumbs up

All the post are great, but, first new car and a 1968 GTO convertible 4-Speed. No wonder you thought you were the king of the streets because, you were the KING OF THE STREETS!!!

...in our town, for nearly 50 years, cruising was the favorite sport of sports...lots of cars, mostly MOPARS, on any night of the week and hundreds on the weekends from surrounding towns...cruising from the "Top Hat" to "Howards" (both were drive-ins with canopys to park under)...drinkin' 10 cent cherry Cokes, burnin' 27 cent Sunoco 260, street racing, open headers, drag slix, listening to Cream or the Doors and looking for hot girls to cruise with...the typical American story...thought it would never end

...in the last couple of years the city who once banned cruising has been begging to get it started again...of course it's not quite the same, I'm 45 years older than I was when I started cruising and my "Hot Girl" is now a Grandma, but I am amazed to see the same guys sitting across the centerline from me that were sitting there all those years ago...like a trip thru time

...my garage is just a block from the cruise strip, so I usually change cars a few times during the evening, keeps the crowd confused, LOL

...Facebook site for our towns cruises...one is coming up in April...everyone is welcome...it's growing BIG TIME

At 16, my first car in 1982, 76 Formula, 400/auto

Sold it one year later to buy a Tripower 66 GTO. Somehow convinced the bank to loan a 17 yr old $2600 for an old car, and paid it off over a two year period working after school. 29 years later, and through two divorces, I still have the same Goat.
Check out the Cutlass wheels. Pic taken as I bought it in 1983

No pictures of me, I was always the one taking it and didn't want to risk breaking the camera lens with my ugly face ;-)

My first 1979 Trans Am, taken in 1997. My '86 Buick that became my sister's car is behind it, and my '83 Suburban is in front of it.

This was taken in 1968 at Ft. Riley Kansas. Bought the car in Feb 68 when I got back to the states. Not a good pic, but the old polaroids weren't all that great.

Iris Mist, white interior, 4sp Tri-power(originally 4 bbl car.), Isky cam---404mag. if I remember correctly, , Hooker headers. Sold it in 71 for $850. Damn!

Holy cow!!! I thought that was my car at first. I also had a Cortez Gold 71 Stage1 Convertible that I bought in 1984 and sold in 1989. Mine had a white interior and top.
