Default Supermodel joining the NASCAR Nationwide Series

Jumping the shark?

Rising up from ARCA stock car racing to the NASCAR Nationwide Series, there is a new reason why people may tangentially care about NASCAR. Her name is Maryeve Dufault and this is everything you need to know about this model-turned-badass.

When I say that Dufault has become a badass now that she has a seat for the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide season, I'm not exactly telling the truth. This French Canadian got started racing since she was four years old, starting off in motocross and breaking both her arms before she turned nine. So she has a history of being tough.

The first time you might've heard of her was back in 2000, when she won the Miss Hawaiian Tropic International beauty pagent. The first job she landed here in the States was as a model on "The Price Is Right," but she also worked as a Hollywood stunt driver.

Dufault is terrible. She stopped in the middle of the track in a Nationwide roadrace last year. Trevor Bayne came around a corner doing about a buck 40 and said his life flashed before his eyes, he narrowly escaped hitting her. I can't remember, but I believe she was black-flagged/taken out of the race after that. She's no different than the Cope twins, Angela and Amber. Derrike Cope's twin neices that are ~25 y/o or so now. They have been black-flagged for being too slow. Halfway through a truck race they are 8-10 laps down with no mechanical issues. If that's what it takes to get sponsorship, that's pathetic.

True, True. I remember Milk Jugs has had more than one of those brain farts stopping in the middle of a race..'now what was I doing'...moments. I remember watching that T Bayne near total incident or an exact one just like it involving 'Mother Jugs'.

Though too, my wife and I were ROTFLOAO when 'Dani Kaa Kaa' stormed down pit road to claw it out w Milk Jugs in that Indy race...she thought she was freakin AJ Foyt of something. Chalked it up to mammary envy by D Kaa Kaa. lol!

I'd still take Danica. Definetly better in the looks department plus Danica is actually a competent driver. Sure she has her faults, but don't they all?
