proud owner of a 71 gp, I know nothing about grand prix's but i had to have that car........the guy who's doing the engine told me he was going to put a mild cam in it cool....my question is, are the stock intake Performance good enough to keep it and just paint it blue with a Edelbrock carburetor (600cfm or do i need bigger) or go with Edelbrock intake and carburetor.....any suggestions..... more pic's soon thanks

Welcome to the forums..........real nice GP! Stock intake will be OK & Q-jets work well when properly set-up. Lots of really smart guys here that can help or get Cliff's book. It's almost mandatory for Q-jets & he sells the good rebuild kits. Dave K.

stock intake is taken from a NASCAR design and will out-perform many aftermarket intakes. Just an FYI. Nice car...one of my all-time favorite Pontiac body styles! Ron

Ron is right with the intake. I chose a Comp Thumper for this build and went with a Cali intake as i like seeing the valley pan. I used a Holley 750 for the upgrade cam and intake. But that said, i'm a freak as my GP is >72.
