Default parts

i love it b-man i post the same parts you have and sell them in a day then you delete my posts because you want to rip off members by raising prices on your parts thats why i sell parts for the real price like the 481733 manifold for $80 not the price your trying to get and it sold in a day and then you deleted the post because you wanted to sell your parts for more and rip off members. ywe need a real moderator that does not rip off members and deletes posts if b-man has the same part and he tries to sell for more what you don't want members to see what the real price of parts are not your inflated prices. what a good guy you are.

wow you really rip off people intakes are $80 not $100 you mark up parts people like you damage the auto industry. suspend me i dont care i will just start a new member. i don't like what you do i posted the same intakes as you and sold them in one day and you removed the posts so you could only have your intakes on there and that people could not see the real price. people like you suck. i'm going to talk to performanceyears and get you removed from the moderator.

take a breath..calm down..

all that matters is you sold your parts..i can ask 500 for the same stuff..if yours sells why bother...its called capitolism..or free market...let it go..

those intakes have been brining 100 bux for years..i see them priced all the time for that, if you choose to sell yours cheaper, its just that... your choice..hes been trying to sell them for 6 months at least..

Barts a good guy, you just may be having a bad day...check and see if its been moved to sold parts..

http://www.gtoman.com/shipping.php i'm not lying you need to check your facts. you will see what dale is talking about fed ex you need to see the crank that fed ex delivered to him and tried to make him accept. and he even says he will never use fedex. you want to get my thread locked and get me in trouble with py why don't you take a look at the fed ex box and the destroyed crank. and i'm calm i don't like people that artifically inflate the prices of restoration parts. and you need to goto:

http://www.fedex.com/us/fedex/shippi...ge/ground.html

and you will see the shipping zones that is why it was the same price shipping 9779073 water neck to you in MO and to NJ. even if you are only one state away.

i don't rip anybody off that is the price they quoted me now you can see the same price by 7 pounds you will come up with $17 shipping. i'm not going to fight with you you flip parts to make money i don't. you find cheap parts like the $15 pulleys and then flip them for $30 dollars people like you are bad for the restoration industry. thats why part flippers get a bad reputation so don't say i'm having a bad day people like you are bad for the industry. and this is why it is sooo expensive to restore cars. you just want to charge as much money as you can for any part and not sell it for what it's worth.

yeah 6 months of holding on to parts someone can use everything i sell goes within a week. i hope he pays alot for storage or taxes on a barn for all his parts who really wins selling for more just to pay your storage or taxes to the irs on your property? thats why parts are marked up to pay for the place where the parts are stored unless he stores parts in his house and i'm sure the wife loves that one.

and it's not called capitolism it's called ripping people off.

i would love taiwan or china to reproduce every pontiac part even the engines then we will see capitolism. and very poor parts thats why i only use original parts and the gtoaa and all the car clubs should deduct points for repop parts on show cars.

i can show you a original 9799127 XF pulley original and then show thepartsplace repop where the number 9's and 2 are different and the stamping is too deep. piss poor repop parts and hood hinges also your hood falls down they are not strong enough to hold up the hood. i hate repop's they are of lesser quality and made in china or taiwan.

every repop part i've seen is not up to quality like pontiac original parts from the 1960's and 1970's, that were made in USA, repop's are what i like to call piss poor parts.

i've restored a 1969 judge and took 20 years to get all original parts and there is no comparison to a 1969 judge with repop parts the hood falls down it will not stay up with ram air. the pulleys have different stampings numbers are not the same and too deep stamped too hard. the concours judges should be able to recognize repop parts and deduct points for them.

you want to see capitolism where are the billions that dissapeared on the tarmac runway in iraq thats capitolism.

just like every store out ther they want to charge as much as they can so they price items the same at each different store and the dumb consumer just goes along with it.

we are headed backwards this would of never happened generations ago. it's just that we have lost morals.

Congrats on your ability on selling your parts fast.
As far as your rant against b-man, why would it matter to you? What he does in his personal life and how he stores what he has to offer effect YOU in any way? If he does by chance have to pay extra for what ever, SO WHAT? How does this effect YOU? Do you have the stones to say these things to his face? If you can't say it to someone's face, it doesn't need to be said(typed) on here....You need a life, hobby or something... Like it has been said before... LET IT GO.....

i'll talk to him in person at the gtoaa nationals here in colorado and voice my opinion with the gtoaa and their standards of judging concours cars. i'll be there see you all there. don't even go there with balls. also your all old people that will be gone long before i'm gone so enjoy your mark ups on parts. wow all these senior members and cheif ponti-yackers. all the same. mark up your parts all you want it's just hurting the industry thats why these cars don't get restored because the parts mark up, and the value of a regular gto is not worth paying to restore thats why only ram air and judges and rare cars get restored.

and then what happens if you have a stroke or heart attack and die and have all the parts just laying around who is going to sell the parts your kids it's assanine just ripping people off just to make a buck. people even barry engine blocks in their back yards.

it's called artifical inflation not capitolism.

i'll be glad to talk to you Nicks67GTO see you at the nationals in loveland colorado i want all of you to come to our great state. and see for yourselves.

Do you think this is unique to pontiac? Every car line that people restore and play with the cars has the same thing...but there are many factors involved here...A it could be a business, he may have overhead, has to buy parts/cars and he may clean them up to turn a profit... capitalism at its best. B. supply and demand I hope I don't have to explain that one. C Caveat Emptor ( buyer beware) its his stuff he can charge whatever he likes, if you don't like it don't buy it. And im sure there are other factors involved...

Now if he deletes your post to push his own parts... that's just dirty and no excuse for that behavior.

Repop parts have their place, not everyone is building a 100 pt judge and some people want to use their cars. If a repop pulley is a phone call away, and an orig is 3 mos of searching then refinishing etc...why not your back on the road in a day or two, some people don't care if its hecho in chine...I prefer oem stuff but im not made of money and if I want to add ram air to my non ram air car id buy repop if it works I don't need oem unless I find it and can afford it. And really your have a GM product you should be grateful you have parts availability! I have a few american motors cars and the parts available for the entire car line during its whole existence is maybe 1/3 of the parts available for a GTO. Fact is they made an awful lot of these cars so there is a demand for parts as allot are still around ergo repop parts are needed as gm isn't making them anymore.

It is capitalism unless hes deleting your stuff to sell his own, in which case that's some totalitarian ****.

If you don't like his prices, don't buy his stuff. I have a 67' GTO California 360 HO car, numbers matching, blah blah blah. All that original stuff is out and i'm going aftermarket on just about everything because its stupid how expensive it is to restore to original. I'm not even going to bother. I don't care about original.

If that's true, I agree its BS, but why would B-man do that to just one person?

Sorry man, unless you're going to be getting into Iowa or Minnesota for Carcraft summer nats, we wont be having a face to face conversation. Colorado is a good 14 hour haul for me.

Nicks67GTO talk to an appraiser they can tell aftermarket and repop parts and your appraisal on your vehicle will show this. thats ok nick i'm 36 and had my 1969 judge since 1990 and i'm just finishing total restoration with original parts and NO repop parts. i will love to meet you and talk and hear your opinion and give you my opinion and let you talk to an appraiser. my father is the original owner of a 1967 gto conv. that took gold concours and we did the restoration at my shop, NO repop anything and his appraisal with protecto plate is $120,000 more than some gold 1969-1971 judges. granted it has a $12,000 champaign metallic black interior and top 4 speed 3.55 gears. you will not see a better 1967 gto conv in the world.

its all perspective man...if you want your car to be worth the most possible amount... that's all good its what you want, some people Do not care about appraised value... I've never had any of my cars appraised, as thats one persons estimation and certainly not gospel or even close to real world value...sure you have a piece of paper that says its worth 100k but can you get that?

However they are just cars and their value changes with the market and economy...your all orig judge is worth alot less today than it was in 2006...same with my 71 six pack shaker cuda' which is why I don't bother with appraisals and whether or not my cars 100 pt oe gold or what have you...im driving and enjoying that's what this hobby is all about!

I understand that if you're going for 100pt showcar. I dont have the $$ to do that. Its much more expensive to restore to perfect than it is to build it for fun. I'm not sure what the appraiser would think of my non numbers matching 455, Moser 9", 4 wheel discs, richmond 5 speed, SFI flywheel and bellhousing, RobbMc 1100 pump/regulator, robbmc starter, 8an aeroquip fuel line, jeep power steering conversion etc....i don't care. I know some guys do. I don't. Hell Iv'e considered converting to an LS. Remember this is a numbers matching 67' H.O. california car...and i don't care. IMO in about 20 years when all the boomers are in their 80's and on their way out, the value on these cars will fall dramatically and no one will give a **** but a few of us. I'm building mine for fun and to drive the dog piss out of....

That's cool. The hobby has/takes all kinds. Your fathers 67' is probably gorgeous. He also has more in his interior than I do getting my car back on the road with all the parts mentioned in one of my previous posts. I'm going to beat the dog piss out of mine, drive it the grocery store, not freak out if i get door dinged, let my daughter spill ice cream on the back seat....

i'm right there with you sell your cars before they go into the dumps i'm sell ing my 1969 palladium silver black interior 4 speed judge with build sheet that shows they put a ramair 3 motor with a ram air 4 carb. in dash tach rally gauges pdb p/s all the goodies am/fm stereo i got the phs on it and it was wrong compared to the build sheet. long console non a/c though i might buy an a/c unit just for appraisal i have the 9796062 pulley for a/c i've been working with an appraiser and he said if the gtoaa gold he can gurantee $120,000-$150,000 appraisal because of the mileage. it only has 29,000 miles on it. and odometer has not been rolled back. and everybody says you need the 9799127 pulley sorry i have the short snout water pump 9796351 date d189 and everybody says they stopped making that pump in mid year and went to the long snout thats completely untrue. i also have a b279 9796351, i've been studying the pontiac gto that i got since 1990 and the master parts books and all literature i can pick up from gm i hane tons of gm memos to the factory and about 30 build sheets and the phs on the cars, and phs is incorrect 50% of the time according to the build sheets.
