Friend with the that Ford info deal. She hates it. I think Ford was perceiving that all hands on stuff in cars would be banned.
The Nissan Juke seems easy, has 3 sep screens for Turbo and driving, and same screen is swapped for Climate. Less controls . on many electronics now, there are many options and tasks are layered, or windowed. Some hate it, but it keeps things basic for most people I noticed not many , if any cars have their Nav, entertainment , Climate facing the driver, or even on a pivot. Spending time to voice "train" the car, not many are willing to do I absolutely hate the female Nav voice in my wifes car and always shut it off. My wife doesnt know what 600 feet is anyways! Thinking about it, we are already past much of the technology of Star trek, 1967 |

It would be hard for me to buy another new GM product.
1. They took the bailout money, and da government owns them. 2. They killed Pontiac! Those bastages! |

Well, why don't I get an "owners discount" or similar, maybe a car at cost, since I'm a part owner?

Reuters) - General Motors Co is recalling 475,418 of its popular compact Chevrolet Cruze sedans to modify the under-engine shield so flammable liquids are not trapped in the engine compartment, the automaker said on Friday.
The recall covers 2011 and 2012 Cruze sedans that were built at GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant from September 2010 through May 2012. The recall affects 413,418 vehicles sold in the United States, 61,299 in Canada and 701 in Israel. Cruze models sold around the world that were made at plants other than the Lordstown one do not have the same design and are not believed to have the same issue, a GM spokesman said. But about 10,000 Chevy Cruze sedans sold by GM's Australian unit, Holden, may be affected and Holden is looking into the issue, the GM spokesman said. The engine shield on the models affected has the potential to trap engine fluids and raise the risk of a fire, GM said. GM said no crashes or injuries have been reported in relation to the issue. Owners will begin getting recall notices in mid-July. A fix of the problem will take about a half hour at a Chevrolet dealership, GM said. (Reporting By Bernie Woodall; Editing by Tim Dobbyn) |

Why would they have "flammable liquids" leaking in the first place? Are they using Harley engines?

One word- VOLT. Yeah- far superior to Ford. hahaha I'll keep our new Mustangs, thank you. After GM killed Pontiac (all I bought was Pontiacs) I quit GM. Never plan to return until Pontiac reappears in their lineup, so I guess I'm done with Gov Motors. 2007 and 2012 Mustangs in my garage. Not a recall or a problem as of yet.

In '05 I bought my GMC Duramax and I am very glad that I dodged the Ford Powerchoke 6 point slow.
![]() It has been to the dealership twice in 140k miles. Injector harness rub for #2 and #7, and hydroboost and seatbelt loop fix. |

Hey Lloyd, have you figured out all the voice activated stuff for the radio and nav on your Sierra Denali? I've owned mine for over a year now and still haven't found the time to sit down and figure it out.

I bought a 94 Taurus and a 95 F150 new. Never had a problem with either except for normal wear items.
That taurus would get over 30 MPG driving 80 with the AC on. |

My next door neighbor laughed about Ford and 6.0 PS engines all the time. At least, right up until his DuraMax (read ISUZU engine) blew the turbo with under 40xxx miles. Personally, I won't get a 6.0 PS. I use a 7.3 PS. Never have had a complaint. It took the Chevy dealership 7 days to get him on the road again. He makes his living doing car transports.

I am sure these trucks could benefit from the use of "quick disconnects"...

Is this a quick disconnect from the early 1990's? Developed by GM engineers.
