I think Henry's Hamburgers originated in the greater Chicago area. There was always a Henry's drive-in in Benton Harbor Michigan, about 12 miles from where I grew up.
The top Photo looks like it could be in South Bend Ind. looking north on old U.S. 31. EDIT: The spot I'm thinking of is just south of the Toll Road (I-80), and after I look a little closer, I can see a big highway sign above the road in the background. Kurt - you've just reminded me - I have a vintage ad in a frame sitting on my workbench in the garage.
I'll have to scan that and post it up - K

I'm moving this picture here so it doesn't get lost. These are my Grandparents, Aaron and Stella Zimmerman, madly in love, circa 1929. They were married for 68 years when Stella died. My Grandfather lived to be 96. The members here identified the car as a 1928 Pontiac Roadster, and the stripe is a factory option, the wire wheels were not.
My Grandpa was a player, it seems...

Keith, that straight axle Goat must have been pretty famous!
Here's a great pic of the way things used to be; a regular suburban street marked off for 1/4 mile duty. 2nd and 3rd pics are a board racing event. Not sure of the location, but it appears to be an old blimp hangar.

May just be my eyes but that photo's titled 64 GTO and it looks like a 66 to me.

Good catch guys! That's actually a 66 GTO I believe. The roof line has the recessed rear window of the 66-67 model, and the GTO emblem on the side is up on the fender, so this is a 66. The "Tiger" campaign was halted for 1967, so it also makes sense this girl is holding a little stuffed tiger for a 66 GTO.

In the space capsule pic, I wonder what all the short-order cooks are doing in the background?
