fan part 2
Continuing to wire up my engine for its initial start. I have more temp senders than Places to put them. I have one for efi,one for my gauge and need.two for my two speed fan setup. It seems to me that the fan will be running most of the time at least on low so does it make sense to just put the low speed solenoid on key on power and.just use a.sender for the hi function?
Thanxsteve

Which EFI are you running? Does it have a fan controller built in? Many do. If so, you only need the one for the EFI, the fan will use that. The water crossover has provisions for 2 senders, so the other will be the gauge. In some cases, the EFI ECU has gauge connections, so your gauge can use the same sender too, reducing it to one.
On a 2 speed fan, you still only need one sender, and you should use a controller. Controllers generally turn the 2nd speed on 10 degrees apart from the 1st speed, many are adjustable. Wouldn't wire a fan to run all the time when the key is on, might not start under certain low-voltage situations. .
