......... I don't think a 01 has the "transponder" security key.

My 84 Z-28 had no keys and a local guy had a set of keys made in 30 minutes
for $75 bucks!

BTW: The key cylinder is not actually IN the column. Its sorta mounted on the
outside under the plastic cover and held in place by some weird "security screws".

If you have to turn the wheels just pull the screws out of the rag joint.
All these suggestions are good but not a solution to having a key made.
I wont be present when transporter drops off truck
and doubt he will want to go thru the trouble to "fix" it so that it can be unloaded.
Trying to coordinate a locksmith and a transport truck would be next to impossible.
