Default 68 400 timing cover swap

Does anyone know if I can use a timing cover and water pump from a 72 350 on a 68 400 for better cooling or am I wasting my time?
I have all the acc. brackets and pulleys from both engines.
Its going in a 68 Bird
Thanks in advance for any help.

What I'm going to use is in the car now. Im putting in the 400 and wanted to upgrade the cooling system. Will the later setup be any better?
