Default Want a decent battery charger

Ok this seems to be an easy enough request but after buying 2 Wally wolrd Shumacher Battry chargers that died in short order Im a little more than disappointed. I have a big Sears unit loaned to me from a friend and its badged DIE HARD fully automatic BLAH BLAH and would mind havind one except the reviews are mixed leading me to believe that this isnt a dependable unit and priced at 218.00 dollars. Anyone have a suggestion as to what has worked well for them as we use our chargers frequently in our business as something is dead almost daily. Thats upfront

Old business associate has an independent battery store. He says he is always looking for old ones at yard sales b/c they are so much better than new. I have an old Allstate (Sears) from the 60s that works great.

EXACTLY THIS! I have had a Sears small model for nearly 13 years and it has taken a beating. 6-12volt / Normal-Deep Cycle-START charge / 2 - 10 amp. I bought this one since it can charge my motorcycle battery (2amp) and the car batteries. Its a nice and simple unit that works great.

Well, I bought a small one from W-mart. Darn thing won't charge a battery that is below 6 volts. Piece of crap in my book, I'll be looking for a better one as well.

I would be hesitant to buy another small one as stated, I have a small automatic one and I'm not a happy camper.

It wouldn't charge the battery if it was below 6 volts. But this is the one from W-Mart. I will try to take the thing back and go with another brand. What I would really like to find is a bigger one at an estate sale!
