JMO, 12K for the top ends mentioned from Gaby doesn't sound too crazy to me. I paid 8K for my CV top end, but I didn't have Ti valves, my rocker shaft cost $1275 instead of $1600, I bought my 2 carbs used for $1500 ( originally built for Don Greene/Top452), and I didn't pay for extentive manifold work for a single fo intake.

Had I been able to afford Ti valves...add another 2K. Robin told me on the phone the year before he has 35-40hrs of porting to his single fo. If I had chosen to pay for 35hrs of intake port work, how much extra would that have added?

I could see it costing me 12K for my top end had I been able to afford some of the fancier items.

For a top end of a combo that runs 8.4's at 3300# seems to be reasonable and in line with any other head combo at that level.

... you need to subtract the cost of the heads, the T2 plate and the carbs out of your figure Bryan, those items were not in this quote ... just sayin' ...

... but i agree with you on the last part, Kinslers car hauls the mail, and if Kinsler is happy, which he is, then it is well worth it ...

Nah, I've been lurking all this time. I've seen all the posts. Personally, it don't bother me, I don't care. It made what it made and ran what it ran.

Glad to hear that, yeah what people say doesn't really matter, only truth matters in the end.

Happy new year Jack,

Well, I'm not picking sides or trying to throwing gas on the fire, that's what the parts cost. As we all know, horsepower costs money. I anybody looking to make 1000hp or better should expect to pay the same or more, no matter what head package you chose.

Here is a question, if someone has a bare set of eheads out of the box stock and they want the exact same eheads that jeff and jack run with all the exact components that are required to run to be exactly the same is the price 7k or 12k?

I predict that bill will say (well over 12k) to duplicate in every post and it will not bother me like he thinks it will.

I predict if bill saw my heads with stainless exhaust valves and an almost stock exhaust port with regular valve seats he would be in disbelief.

Sorry, after the vitriolic name calling session you went on yesterday I doubt anyone will engage you in your game.

So is that 7k or 12k genius?

What if they didnt have heads, whats a set of bare castings cost, $1800 or so correct? So bump the price up to 14k if they call for a quote with nothing at all. Id rather have warp 6 heads when getting in the 14k territory, anyway, I made my point.

Glad I could break this down in a way even the morons can understand '12k to duplicate'

If you say it doesn't cost 12k then talk to Gaby, its his price
