Your deflecting from Bills point, he's not comparing his work against anything!!!

...for years now Jeff, Jack and others have been sayin "just junk" e-heads. Fact is they are NOT junk and are quite impressive performers. Nobody, Bill included, is slamming Gaby for what he charges or what you get for the $ from him.

The "just junk" comments these past few years would lead many to think its affordable easy to do... vs other choices. Just isnt so... its easy if you got money to spare and feel Gaby's work is what you want.

Gaby twice says he could charge up to $7000 for porting....Jack says about $5000 in parts on top of that.

$12000 for "junk e-heads" is alot of money for some. Its certainly not easily duplicated by others unless they go to Gaby...if a customer is willing to spend $12k for e-heads with Gaby thats certainly fine, its the customers choice really.

Problem has been near every cv1 build regardless of build itself has been compared to "just junk e-heads" performance level when in fact the cv1 builds had nowhere near that level of $$$$$ or development time in them. Robins car hasnt shown the ET yet due to traction...but the 174 mph speed in less than ideal non east coast air indicates the potential it has to run with or beat Jack at same weight side by side.

It would not cost anywhere near $12000 to duplicate Robins top end package. I'd guesstimate near half that including the castings port work and parts. Bill could give a better ballpark number.

Meanwhile, as usual, everyone against the cv1 misses the main intent of cv1 heads was an affordable choice. Is $5000-$6000 worth the difference between Jacks ET and Robins? IMO its a customers choice. Has Jack beat Robins 174 MPH in worse air? The cars are somewhat close comparisons though one is built for a specific class, competes well against all brands, and often gets real street miles on it, also has to do a street drive as part of his class rules. The other runs for numbers and sometimes might go down the street.

Personally I could find better use for the extra $5000-$6000 it would cost to run Gaby heads vs Robins heads.

To each his own.

As Gaby said from scratch it is rough around 25K for this type of motor.
I think you missed this one Bill.

Jack,

You are the man!

The only one, but... there are a few cars in the works that may just wipe your 7.90's azz. You can only be king for a while, you think you have a 7.50 in that thing?

I know of at least one car boosted that will send you packing when he gets it done, and it will be a street car.

Lmfao.......y'all are all rephuckintarded. The e head mafia is kicking ass with an old design and they are proud of what they have accomplished. The problem is the cv1 guys are seriously self conscious about their new design and its lack of ability to run with what's already out there. The e head dudes see a hole in their confidence and jump on it every chance they can.

That's nature. Boys will be boys and love to throw it in each others face ESPECIALLY when it's remotely true and bothers the competition so much.

If the cv1 dude that is a "professional head porter" and has port art in his avatar would spend half as much time working heads that achieve impressive results rather than trying to "David Copperfield" everyone with the bait and switch all the time......he might just turn out the set of heads we have all been waiting on. BUT to do that, he has to find a customer that is dedicated to going fast and sticking it out to make it work. Hell even a DECENT set of heads will fly with the right customer out there beating on the water box every weekend testing and gathering data.

Counting other folks money and worrying about porting quote bull**** AIN'T GETTIN IT DONE BOYS.........SHAT OR GET OFF THE POT. Be happy with having an affordable alternative to cast iron head porting and repair and keep yo azz in da street section!!!! OR BANG OUT SOME BAD MOFOS AND PUT THE E HEADS TO BED. Results, results, results.................the word for today is RESULTS. Get some

Jack

Robin loses about 2.7mph(171.3) if he adds 160 lbs... thats still more mph than you have gone. And hes taking power out at launch. So... if he gets it hooked he's going to gain mph. Likely no??? He should be able to go 7.70's at 174 if he gets hooked...add 160 pounds he should go 7.80's 171 in his higher altitude vs your east coast magic fall air.

BTW if Robin took a field trip to run the east coast in the fall, how much faster does he go?

Call Robin and ask to see the time slip or video Jack... you are the one wants to call him out on it.

Best use of "ricer math" in this whole thread. If cows had wings they wouldn't step in their own sh!t....... When I had my car together I outran a guy who went 7.50s by about 2 cars and got beat by a 7.20 car by around a car length.....so really my junk ran like 7.40s Hahahahaha..........and that was crappy Oklahoma air....probably more like 6.90s up there in the east coat air and short down hill tracks with the ocean breeze for a tailwind like jack and those guys run in all year. Lmfao........ricer math is fun

I get it man, and I want you guys to succeed. But we have been waiting for years to see what the cv head is really capable of. BUILD IT, DYNO IT, AND PULL THE TRIGGER AT THE TREE. Until then try not to engage the naysayers that have fast cars and have already put in the work to get results. It will always be an argument you can't win.

I try not to even get on this site anymore, cause my car ain't running and I can't stand not being able to talk smack to everyone lol......But it will always end with "where's your car" hahaha.......

Hahahaha it was sarcasm. Jacks car might run. 8.50s round here. We don't have unicorn sauce to prep the track with and the air only has around 14% oxygen....not like the 28% the east coast has brought in by the truckload.

I have not been on this sight for months and all I can say is WOW. If I thought we were getting called out would I lay all my cards on the table ? Not a shot. We have been patiently waiting for three years. Thre is no -1500 ft air in ohio in august. Come one, come all. As for the mile an hour deal, We went 169 mph in 4000 ft of air playing arround. So are we saying only one car will pick up Et and mile per hour in primo conditions. OKY DOAK! Come correct annd bring the $$$$$$$$$ come august. Done playing Well your car is this and your car has that. We have a street car true 10 inch tire car Smaller motor, smaller tire. etc My prediction for 2013 is the outcome will be the same. Happy New Year .
