LOL. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

I thought that given all that 'came out' about Knotts that this was one of the biggest mis-steps of all time in advertising.

It is actually a pretty cool looking Pkg. for that truck, which needed some styling help IMO.

I think it would be the back wall upholstery. If you'd want a back seat, use the Subaru bucket seats they used in the rear bed for the 'Brat". But if used for real on today's highways, I suppose they'd be illegal.

It was re-issued by Model King not too long ago, but it has since been discontinued. It comes with a speed boat and trailer. The truck option is shown on the side of the box.

Don Knotts was known as a ladies man. Nabors is known as a man's lady and 'married' his partner of 38 years last month.

Yeah... Don Knotts was married to three different women throughout the last 40 or 50 years, with not much of a break in between any of them.... Plus, probably had Thelma-Lou on the side...lol

Marriage Number1 Lasted from 1947-64, and ended among rumors of cheating. Number 2 lasted from 1974-83. 3rd and final lasted from 2000-06 when he passed away.

Well, some gaps in there for sure but I've certainly never heard anything linking his name with any 'closet activities'...lol

Vicious rumor I guess, but a friend told me a story, and I did not think to - trust but verify.

Sorry Don, but you were not the spittin' image of macho truck Dude either way. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

No he was definitely hetero. I also agree with Deeadhead that he wouldn't be my first choice to star in a macho truck ad, either!
